The NCHMCT Round 1 Seat Allotment marks the beginning of the admission process for candidates seeking entry into B.Sc. (Hospitality and Hotel Administration) and other hospitality programs offered by institutes affiliated with the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology. Based on candidates’ NCHM JEE ranks, preferences, category, and seat availability, the first round of allotment assigns seats to eligible applicants. Candidates allotted a seat must confirm their admission by paying the seat acceptance fee and uploading the required documents within the specified deadline. Those who wish to upgrade their choice can participate in subsequent rounds, while others can freeze their allotted seat to secure admission.

Yes, you can get into IHM Guwahati with a rank of 8000 if you belong to the OBC AI category. According to round 1 of the IHM Guwahati cutoff 2026, the highest cutoff accepted was 8169 for the OBC AI category.
