DU Admission 2019 Cancellation & Withdrawal Procedure

DU admissions 2019 are in full swing. University of Delhi (popularly known as Delhi University or DU) has released two cutoffs up till now. And, the varsity is witnessing a rush of students withdrawing or cancelling their DU admission at one college and enrolling in another.
The article below explains the complete procedure of cancelling/ withdrawing admission from one DU college and securing admission in another.
How to Withdraw/ Cancel & Re-Take DU Admission 2019?
The process of cancellation or withdrawal from DU admissions 2019 is extremely simple. However, candidates need to take care of the few points at the time of admission cancellation as explained below:
Last date for admission cancellation
Firstly, it is important to note that candidates can cancel their DU admission before the last date of document verification and admission approval. The schedule for DU cutoffs, document verification and admission approval is mentioned below:

Eligibility
If in the subsequent DU cutoff lists, candidates find themselves eligible for admission to a particular course or college, they must ensure that they meet all the eligibility requirements of that college. For the same, candidates are advised to personally visit the college in which they are seeking admission and check all the eligibility requirements thoroughly.
Steps to cancel DU admission 2019
If candidates are certain about the eligibility requirements of the college in which they are seeking admission, they can cancel their admission by following the steps mentioned below:
- Visit the official website of Delhi University
- Login to the DU admission portal
- Cancel the admission online
The DU admission fee paid in the previous cutoff list will be refunded (after deducting the cancellation fee of Rs 1,000) and visible in the “Wallet” section of the dashboard.
Steps to re-take admission in another DU college
Once the admission from the previous DU college is withdrawn, candidates can take admission in another college by following the steps mentioned below:
- Login to the DU admission portal
- Choose the new course and college to generate application form
- Fill the new application form
- Report at the college along with the set of documents required for admission
- Login to the DU portal again to pay the admission fee online
Once the fee is successfully paid, DU admission process for the respective college will be complete.
Note: When the candidate pays the admission fee, any extra amount left in the “Wallet” section of the dashboard will be refunded in his/ her account after DU admissions 2019 are closed, informs the official website.
