Placements: To be honest, the placements here are not what I actually expected. Even though I am in my first year, I see many of my seniors getting really good hiring companies, plus the staff helps and guides them throughout their journey. So for placements, this college is a ten out of ten.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college, oh my god, how can I explain how good, green, dreamy, and aesthetic it is. Plus, there is a whole lot of nursery space for plants as well as birds. Oh my god, the best part is that there are many beautiful types of birds, whether it is sparrows or peacocks.

Faculty: Semesters are difficult, as they have to be. I mean, we are in DU, so we should expect tough competition so that we are competitive enough to tackle tasks that will lead us to a future that is secure and balanced. So yes, academics and everything are hard, but not enough to make you fail.

Other: The activities, especially in the clubs and societies, are very active. Active competitions among universities are the best.

Highly satisfied with the college.

Placements: From what I've heard, the college's placements are good but not the best. However, it depends more on the skills of the students than on the college's placements. Overall, the college is doing its best to develop the skills of the students with good quality education and active societies.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is definitely very good, with a good variety of plants around campus. The whole campus is polished and looks quite vibrant. The classrooms and cafeteria are especially very good.

Faculty: Faculty of the Political Science department is really good, with good professors. They are easy to negotiate with and are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is excellent. They are really helpful with everything, such as projects, assignments, & the syllabus.

Really good infrastructure and environment.

Placements: Because Political Science is a humanities course, direct campus placement opportunities are relatively limited. However, the college offers strong exposure to fellowships, internships, research, and more. Their research centre is especially worth mentioning.

Infrastructure: Facilities provided in our department make up quite a long list, with Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, an air-conditioned library, and a well-equipped research centre. The quality of food in the canteen is a little better than what is provided in the hostel.

Faculty: All teachers are knowledgeable and supportive. They encourage students to critically analyse the subject. Curriculum offers a good balance between theory & practical learning. The level of examinations is also appropriate, not encouraging rote learning.

Other: I chose this course because I had an interest in it. The best thing about my course in this college is that they promote a lot of research. So, you get to study deeper and engage with the subject more critically. I would appreciate it if the placement opportunities were better. Overall, the events on campus are managed pretty well. The campus has a lively and decent crowd. It is surrounded by greenery all around. Extracurricular activities are promoted and supported by the teachers, provided they are balanced with academics.

It has impressive infrastructure & environment but is underrated campus with non judgemental crowd.

Placements: Janki Devi Memorial College provide good placement opportunities. Roughly around 50-70% of students get placed through the placement cell of the college. The highest salary package that I have heard is up to 11- 9 LPA, and the average package is around 3-5 LPA. The lowest is around 2 LPA. 60-70% of students get internships in EY, Deloitte, and NGOs.Big names like Deloitte, EY, Wipro, TCS, and Infosys are top recruiters. Roles like content writing, marketing, and sales were offered to students.

Infrastructure: JDMC's infrastructure is really good. We have strong Wi-Fi everywhere. Almost all classrooms have smart boards which makes learning fun and interactive. Our library is huge with both non-AC hall and fully AC seating, and you can choose where to study. The book collection is vast and the staff is super helpful. Campus is one of the best, lush green and has our in-campus hostel. I stayed in Krishna Hostel in first year. I miss it so much. Rooms in the hostel were clean. They were well-maintained as well. The security was great. Almost felt like home. I really cherish those memories a lot.

Faculty: I am a student of Political Science Honours. My Political Science faculty members were very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They are extremely supportive and approachable and understand that students from different parts of India need time to settle and focus. Teaching quality is excellent, interactive, and concept-based.

Other: I chose Political Science because I've always been interested in politics and society. Hence, I have opted for sociology as my GE. I just wish we had more field exposure and practical research work. Otherwise, JDMC life is vibrant. Fest Symphony is amazing, and the crowd is friendly and diverse. It literally has a society for Northeast students to help them and to make them feel inclusive. Our campus is very safe, and also the connectivity is great as Karol Bagh metro is within walking distance.

Placements: The Career Opportunity Cell is active in our college. There are regular internship-related emails provided to the students in their email. The Career Opportunity Cell of our college is constantly making sure that the students are able to learn. They also make Google Forms to know your preferred course that you, as an individual, would like to join or are interested in.

Infrastructure: The college library is huge and mostly has the books that are needed for your course. The staff is helpful. The hostel facilities and rooms provided by the college are hygienic and in good condition. The canteen and food quality in the college are good. Even the value and quantity of the food are reasonable.

Faculty: Professors and lecturers in our department are all highly intellectual. They make the course as easy and approachable as much as they can. The course is curriculum-relevant. Professors also teach students the things that they need to know for their careers in this field. The pass percentage is good.

JDMC is green and blue!

Placements: B.A. Hons Political Science is a very interesting subject. You can either prepare for other competitive exams; this subject will help you a lot, or you can do well through this subject as well in the future. I'm just a fresher here, so I don't know much about internships, but I would prefer girls preparing for some exams, be it teaching or other government exams.

Infrastructure: Small, cozy, and girl-friendly classroom is good with good ventilation. The internet connection is good. The best part is its library, which is large and very well maintained. JDMC is very serious about its sports. All 6 days in the morning, they conduct practices (for NCC and sports both).

Faculty: Everything is perfect. Semester exams are quite decent; you will not get any puzzling questions, rather direct ones. Teachers are helpful; they even provide you with notes. The course is relevant for those who want to do their further studies in Political Science or prepare for government exams.

Other: JDMC has a Diwali Mela called Jyotsana, then all other fests in February after completing the semester. Campus crowd is good.

Janki Devi Memorial College: A hidden gem.

Placements: The college has a great placement cell that has benefited many students, from internships being emailed to our IDs almost every single day to international exchange programs with the many universities we have MOUs with. Anyone would be able to find something of interest here.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is underrated. There isn't a college that is greener than JDMC, the library is gorgeous, the Wi-Fi is almost always active, and the hostellers are rarely ready to leave when the tenure is up. The food in the canteen is wonderful and adequately priced.

Faculty: The faculty is one of the most educated in all of DU. They have gone out of their way to not only teach but also integrate learning into my college life. The curriculum is engaging, and the way it is delivered just further the notion while still fostering an environment of growth.

Other: I was originally hesitant about this college but honestly, the events, the fests, and the opportunities are unlike any other.

JDMC's decent academics, fun campus life, average placement opportunities.

Placements: Honestly speaking, placements in Political Science are alright, but not the college's strongest point. Actually, only 20–30% of students sit for placements, and around 2–4 LPA, with not more than 6–7 LPA offers. Recruiters like EY, Deloitte, Genpact, HDFC Bank, etc. are generally a part of the placement process for students. Internships are more easily available in non-profit, research, content writing, social sector, etc.

Infrastructure: As far as the Department of Political Science is concerned, classes, Wi-Fi, and library are great, as reading and research are part of our curriculum. The library can be particularly useful since Political Science requires a lot of reading. While I have not stayed in Krishna Hostel, my friend really had a good experience at Krishna. My friend really appreciated the clean rooms, hygienic mess, crispy dosa, Sunday Chole Bhature, and common room DJ nights. She really appreciated Radha Aunty and Haseena Ma'am, the hostel warden, Garba Night, Hostel Milan, and hostel picnics.

Faculty: The Political Science Department has reasonably proficient teachers who are helpful and accessible too. Classes are conducted through lectures, PPTs, seminars, discussions, and presentations, though this aspect depends heavily on the teacher involved. Political Science is a good syllabus and gives sound knowledge about politics, but it won't directly land you an industry job. Honestly, internships and practical knowledge are very important. Semester exams are fine as long as you're serious about them over time. Otherwise, revision a few days before them will put some pressure on you.

Other: Personally, I pursued Political Science as a subject of interest and an effort to understand various events in the world around us. There is absolutely no doubt that class discussions and varied interpretations by teachers are an extremely satisfying part. Though I feel there should be a greater emphasis on applied fields rather than books and exams alone. In addition to academics, the people and society around, fests, and the entire college life make it a better journey.
