AMU MA is a two-year postgraduate programme offered in the full-time mode. Candidates who have scored at least 50% in Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline are eligible to pursue MA at the university. Hence, a candidate scoring less that 50% in their graduation degree is not eligible to apply for the programme. Such candidates can pursue MA at some other college or university. DU has not released its placement report 2023. However, as per the data collated from the DU NIRF report 2023, the key highlights of DU placements 2022 are presented below for the two-year PG courses including MA:

BHU placements are good. During the placement drive 2025, 177 placement drives were held and more than 950 students were placed. The highest salary package offered was INR 19.8 LPA.

University of Mumbai does not conduct or accept any entrance exam for MA admission. Candidates only need to submit the pre-enrollment form along with the application form to get admission. However, for a few MA courses, the University/ MU-affiliated college conducts a Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) after the written test. Selected candidates need to come for document verification process to confirm their seat. 

The Madras University MA application form can be filled out online. While filling out the form, students are required to upload scanned copies of certain documents. Below are the required documents:

• Class 10 and12 marksheets
• UG degree
• UG marksheets
• Transfer certificate
• Migration certificate
• Income certificate (applicable for candidates seeking admission via EWS category)
• Caste certificate (if required)

Aspiring students are required to register on the official website of JMI and fill the application form online. In the form, fill all the details asked, upload the required documents and pay the application fee. Starting 2022, for BA, BSc and BVoc, JMI started accepting the scores of CUET UG. For the same, students need to register for the exam, appear for it and qualify it. Qualified students of CUET UG are required to register for JMI counselling after which merit lists will be released with the name of the shortlisted students. For the remaining courses, however, the university is still accepting national and university-level entrance exam for final selection. 

IGNOU and DU SOL, both are government-approved reputed distance learning universities in India. They have dedicated career placement cell that connects potential recruiters with students. In terms of regional reach, IGNOU has more centres spread across the country as compared with DU SOL. IGNOU has a larger set of courses as compared to DU SOL that has courses primarily related to Humanities and Commerce. According to unofficial sources, the starting salary of IGNOU students start from 3.5 LPA. The top recruiters of IGNOU in recent past included leading companies such as HCL, Wipro and Parle. It will depend upon students’ priority in terms of location, study centre and course-selection to choose between IGNOU and DU SOL.

Lucknow University admissions are conducted on the basis of entrance exam scores and the merit of the student. It accepts entrance scores such as CUET, CUET-PG, and JEE Main. University of Lucknow also offers direct admission to vacant and NRI seats for BTech and MCA programmes. Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 40% to 60% in Class 12 for UG level admissions. For PG level admissions, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 45% to 50% in graduation. 

Panjab University Chandigarh admission 2026 is based on the entrance examination and merit. The final selection is based on PUMET, PU-CET (UG), PU-CET (PG), PU PGLAW, PUTHAT, PULEET, MBAUSOL, PU UGLAW, PU MPhil, and PhD Entrance Test. Merit is also considered for admission in some courses. Step 1: CSJMU Application Process 2025

The mode of application is online. Eligible aspirants can apply for the course of their choice on the official website of the university.

Step 2: Selection Rounds

CSJMU selects candidates based on their merit in the last qualifying exam for most of the courses. For MBA, LLM, MCA, etc., the admission is based on entrance-exam score.

Step 3: Counselling

Once the selection rounds are over, selected candidates are called for counselling and document verification. Selected candidates must confirm their seat with the course fee to avoid rejection.

Mysore University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is accredited with A Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The University of Mysore has also been ranked 44 in the University category and 71 in the Overall category by NIRF ranking 2023. The total tuition fee of the MA programme at Punjabi University ranges between INR 18,700 - INR 1.60 lakh. Jamia Hamdard University New Delhi is best known for its BTech, BPharma, and MBA programmes. MBA students can work as Marketing Managers,  Consultants,  & also Finance Managers, or can take up several other job opportunities. Jamia Hamdard New Delhi BTech students can work as Software Engineers, Data Scientists,  and others.

Guru Nanak Dev University admissions is both entrance and merit-based. Candidates who want admissions can apply online by visiting the official website. Also, candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria for GNDU admissions. The entrance exam accepted for BTech, MBA, and MTech course is JEE Main, Guru Nanak Dev University Management Entrance Test (GMET), and GATE respectively.

The university conducted SOET for all the UG and PG courses in the field of Agriculture, Horticulture and Pharmacy courses offered by it. For all the remaining courses, the university conducts online counselling based on past academic merit.
