The main strategy that should be applied is to study on a daily basis.  We should read at least once a day for better understanding.  Teena shares more such tricks which will help you ace CLAT.

All across India, a large of students appear for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) every year. The subjects included in this exam include English, Logical Reasoning, Mathematics, General Knowledge and Legal Aptitude.

English includes vocabulary, synonyms, antonyms, foreign words and phrases, words that often confuse, comprehension and some basic grammar that we learn till Class 12th. Logical Reasoning is further divided into two parts logical reasoning and analytical reasoning. Under logical reasoning topics such as puzzles, assumptions, statement arguments, Venn diagram, etc., are covered. Under analytical reasoning topics include analogies, series completion, odd-man-out, coding-decoding, logical diagrams, directions, blood relations, ascending and descending order, etc., are covered.  In Mathematics, the basics that we study till Class 10th are involved. The Mathematics covered in CLAT is ICSE Board and not CBSE or any local board. General knowledge is that one subject which doesn't have any of the limits.

The more you read, the more you will learn and will be updated to the latest happenings. It's not just limited to any country or any specific topic. It involves every topic from films to sports to politics and international affairs. The most important is the last topic i.e Legal Aptitude. It mainly includes three topics. Contract, torts and basics of Indian Constitution. The questions asked are not direct. We get a situation and we need to analyse which of the options provided is suitable for the situation provided.

The main strategy that should be applied is to study on a daily basis.  We should read at least once a day for better understanding. There is nothing like revision. The course is so vast that revision is limited to only some topics. The best way to revise is to solve previous years’ papers of CLAT and other national-level entrance test paper.

When you study a particular topic make proper notes of the same. This would help in last-minute revision. For instance, every day there is something that is happening in the world. So keeping a check on it on a daily basis is a better option rather than looking it at last moment. It is important that you are known to the happenings of all over the world on a daily basis.

Unlike this, the other subjects need to have proper practice as they are more practical in nature. If we take a glance at the logical reasoning subject, it is more based on the mental ability of that student. If you make yourself able to solve these types of question you can. And it can be done through regular practice. If we look at the language subject, we can make out that the subject is very vast. Every time we will meet new words and every word would have a different meaning in relation to its context. Likewise, legal reasoning is also based on the mental ability of that student. It's upon the interpretation level of the students. How they interpret and get to the solutions.

Preparation of CLAT could also be done at home. Students can purchase the CLAT preparation book of Universal publication. It has a proper explanation of the topics with the past year questions on the same topic. The book is topic wise divided. It is the best way to prepare at home.
