Jamia Hamdard introduces UG course in Journalism & Mass Communication

Jamia Hamdard introduced an undergraduate programme in Journalism and Mass Communication with focus on TV, broadcast and print media. The three year-long full-time undergraduate programme in journalism will be conducted by the School of Media Education and Mass Communication with the objective of churning out fully-trained journalists, media and content professionals for leading media organisations, reads the Jamia Hamdard release. Under this programme, special attention will be given on online journalism and mobile Journalism (MoJo).
50 seats would be offered by the programme. Interested candidates can apply through the official websites, i.e. jamiahamdard.edu, jamiahamdard.nopaperforms.com until August 31. Talking about the newly introduced UG programme, Dean SM Khan said, “This three year Journalism and Mass Communication course launched by Jamia Hamdard is a benchmark in journalism education in India. Individuals who want to make their career in journalism have got a good opportunity to learn all the skills and techniques of the new age Journalism.”
Jamia Hamdard UG Admissions 2020: Eligibility Criteria
The candidates with a minimum 50 per cent marks in plus 2 would be considered eligible to apply for the programme. The admission will be done on the basis of marks in plus 2, followed by a counselling process.
About the 3-year UG Programme
The three-year programmes in Journalism will consist of six semesters, including a mandatory internship programme. According to the official notice released by Jamia Hamdard about its latest UG Programme, training to become multi-lingual, multi-format journalists and media professionals skilled in the latest tools and techniques will be given to the selected candidates.
