The eligibility criteria for each course is different. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the Jamia Millia Islamia Entrance Exam. For UG course, candidates must have passed Intermediate with at least 50 per cent marks from any board. For PG course, graduate degree with at least 50 per cent marks from any recognised university is required.
The National Testing Agency has started CUET PG application process for admission to Jamia Millia Islamia. The window opened on December 14, 2025 and the last date was January 23, 2026 (11.50 PM). Students looking for admission at JMI through CUET PG must apply for the entrance test.
Jamia Millia Islamia releases the admit card for JMI entrance exam 2026 on its Admission Portal. Students appearing for the entrance exam must take the admit card with them to the exam centre. Failure to do so will result in denial of entry to the exam hall. The JMI admit card will be given to only those candidates who will apply for the exam.

JMI Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit
Universities in India set upper or lower age limits for admission to their courses. However, JMI does not impose age restrictions. There is no upper age limit to appear in the JMI 2026 exam. Commonly asked questions
JMI selection criteria includes shortlisting of candidates on the basis of scores obtained in JMI exam. For some courses candidates are required to also appear for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). The cut off for each course is released after the selection procedure is over and candidates are called for counselling and document verification. Candidates should go through the selection process mentioned in the e prospectus of JMI for their respective course.

A candidates who has graduated in any discipline in 10+2+3 pattern can apply at Jamia to pursue MA in Mass Communication. Additionally, a candidate should have at least 50 per cent aggregate at graduation level.
The JMI Entrance Exam cutoff marks are the minimum marks required to pass the test. These are published along with the declaration of the results. The cutoff marks vary from programme to programme. The cutoff marks for some programmes from past cycles of the exam are provided below. This will give aspirants an idea of the required score.

JMI Entrance Exam 2026 Application Form
An aspirant is advised to fill and submit JMI Entrance Exam 2026 application form only after ensuring they fulfill the eligibility criteria for desried course. Jamia Millia Islamia has released the JMI online form 2026 on its official website. As the registration window is open, candidates will have to fill out their personal information, such as name, contact information, date of birth, etc., educational details, and upload relevant documents, such as passport size photograph and signature. After adding required details, candidates have to submit their registration form by paying the application fee online. Only students who will successfully fill and submit the JMI application form will be issued JMI admit card on April 17 to appear for the exam.
