Q:   What is the marking scheme of XIC Entrance Test?
A: 

According to the exam pattern of XET 2025, the total marks allotted to the test are 100. Each section (objective and subjective) will hold 50 marks. Each question in the objective section will hold 1 mark while the 50 marks allotted to the subjective section will be divided among 4 questions. There will be no negative marking in the test.

Q:   Can I take XET 2025 in Hindi?
A: 

No, aspirants can only take XET 2025 in English. All the questions will be asked in English and must strictly be answered in English only. The exam body also mentions on its website that examinees must not use any slang, informal short forms or SMS language while answering their questions. Such answers will not be assessed at all.

Aspirants should start preparing for the examination at least four months before the test date. XIC Entrance Test (XET) preparation requires long-term planning thus one must start early. While preparing for the entrance test, aspirants must focus on memorising current events and solving reasoning and problem solving questions. 

Q:   When will the application process for the XIC Entrance Test (XET) start?
A: 

The registration dates for XET 2025 are March 1 to 31, 2025. Aspirants can apply online on the institute's website. The XET 2025 application form will cost them INR 2500 (inclusive of GST). Application fee payment can be made thrugh credit cards, debit cards, net banking or UPI. It is advised that the aspirants first check the eligibility requirements before applying. Undergraduate degree holders who are 35 years of age or younger are eligible. 

Q:   When will the XIC Entrance Test (XET) 2025 result be declared?
A: 

A final list of selected students and XET 2025 results will be announced on May 5, 2025, by 4:00 pm on the official website - xaviercomm.org. Shortlisted candidates must pay their course's tuition fee by May 19, 2025 online on the same website. More information about the tuition fee payment will be available on the website only.

Students should know the exam pattern so that there is no confusion while appearing for the entrance exam. Q:   Is an interview conducted after clearing XIC Entrance Test (XET)?
A: 

Yes. Based on a candidate's score in the online test, they will be called for the interviews. The interview will be conducted via a Zoom call. Details about the call will be sent to them on their registered email IDs. Questions in the interview will be based on general knowledge, personal academic histories, Statement of Purpose (SOP) submitted with the application form, etc. 

Q:   How will I get to know about my XIC Entrance Test (XET) exam date?
A: 

Candidates will have to select their preferred XET date (out of the dates announced on the website) at the time of registration. The test link, password and login details will be sent to candidates just before their allocated time slot. More exam day instructions will be communicated to the applicants via this email by the exam body.

XIC Entrance Test (XET) 2025 will be conducted on April 5, 6 and 13, 2025. Candidates can appear for the XET from wherever they are located (from home or an internet cafe). The date and time of XET will be mentioned in the XET admit card. These admit cards will be sent to applicants individually on their registered email IDs.

Students can follow the steps below to prepare for the XIC Entrance Test (XET). 

  • Make a Schedule: The students should make a time management schedule. How much study material can one cover in a given amount of time? Is imperative to create a plan and a schedule before you get down to study. Sufficient time should be allocated to each subject and each topic and the field of journalism and mass communication is vast. Give yourself enough rest and time to revise as well in the schedule. Preparation works well according to plan. 
  • Solve Previous Years' Question Papers: The best way to know and understand the entrance exam is by solving the previous years' question papers. Through a question paper, one can understand the exam pattern, marking scheme and the type of questions that can come in the entrance exam. Solve the question papers and test your abilities. The best way is to do it according to the time mentioned on the question paper. 
  • Revision: Once you have prepared, it’s time to revise what you have studied. By revising, you can remember better what you have studied. For example, if you have opted for History, dates are the most important part of the subject. By revising, you understand what you have studied better.
