    A: 

    As per the JMI cutoff 2024 for the Round 13 seat allotment, candidates won't be able to get into JMI with 50 percentile for M.Sc in Biotechnology, which is the only course available for the General AI category candidates.

    Q:   Does Jamia Millia Islamia accept CUET?
    A: 

    Yes, Jamia Millia Islamia accepts CUET scores for UG courses such as BA, BSc and BVoc. Jamia Millia Islamia admission is based on entrance exam score. The university released its prospectus for admissions in March with the schedule for admission to courses accepting national-level and university-level entrance exams. JMI, New Delhi offers over 220 courses in both regular and self-financed modes. The university also provides distance learning courses at undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and Diploma levels.

    Q:   How can I apply for Jamia Millia Islamia entrance exam?
    A: 

    Candidates have to apply online to appear in JMI Entrance Exam. The application forms are released on the official website of JMI. Candidates have to first create an account by filling their basic details and then fill the detailed application form, select their course, upload required documents and pay the application fee. The registration window usually remains open for a month.

    Q:   What is the reservation percentage for Muslim candidates at JMI?
    A: 

    Jamia Millia Islamia offers seat reservations in almost all the courses based on the category of the students. Candidates seeking JMI admission under the reserved category can apply for reservation under one category only and are required to fulfil the prescribed eligibility conditions of the course. More details regarding JMI reservation criteria are enlisted below:

    • 30% of the total number of seats in each course are reserved for Muslim applicants. 10% of the total number of seats in each course are reserved for women applicants
      who are Muslims and 10% of the total number of seats in each course shall be earmarked for (OBCs) and ST students who are Muslims.
    • 5% of seats in all the courses are reserved for physically challenged students.
    • 5% of seats in all courses must be filled by internal students of Jamia who have passed their qualifying exam from Jamia schools as regular students.

    Satisfied with the quality of the course.
    Placements: For M.Sc. In the Virology course, there is no placement, not a single company related to our field comes for placement. You have to find a PI for your dissertation. Sometimes the faculty also helps with this. Our faculty members also offer dissertations, but they encourage students to apply outside the university.
    Infrastructure: Our department is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, AC, a water purifier, and a projector. To conduct experiments, all necessary facilities are available in our lab, including RT-PCR, qPCR, BSL-2, a cell culture room, and a Virus culture lab. Our university has a central library near my department, where you can issue any two books for 14 days. The central canteen has good quality food at a cheap rate, and many other shops are also there. Cricket ground and other sports grounds are working, you can use it, many tournaments are organized from time to time.
    Faculty: Faculty members are very polite and helpful. If you need any help, you can ask in the classroom or personally. They are very knowledgeable. Before joining here, they did a doctorate in foreign countries. The M.Sc. Virology course syllabus is the best, it includes every topic needed for current research and also history. If you focus on the lecture and read at home, you can easily score well in exams. In this course, you have to give two sessional exams, each worth 20 marks, and a final exam of 60 marks. 40 percent marks are needed in every exam to pass.
    Other: The university and departments organize many events, but the best event is the annual university event. My department organized an international symposium last year. AAJMI, NSP, and many scholarship opportunities are available for students. Our class has paid Rs. 90000 for each year, but now you have to pay only Rs. 55000 per year.

    Really good, I like it and study in it.
    Placements: Mostly students got placed, and most of the students got placement that they couldn't think it was about 67 LPA. Most of the students were enrolled in internships. Top MNCs offered placement to us. The placement cell was organised by the university with the support of students' union.
    Infrastructure: Labs of my college were good but the infrastructure of my university I don't like. I don't think this was not good, this was good but not according to me. Facilities provided for students in hostel were good but the cleanliness was not from time to time. The food in canteen was not hygienic, that's all.
    Faculty: Teachers taught us like that which was why we were all ready for industry and going for placement in companies. Semester exams were not too difficult. Teachers taught us in class. If you give your best in class, then you easily qualify for your semester exams without difficulty.
    Other: Campus crowd was good but the connectivity was poor.

    Really awesome college and infrastructure.
    Placements: Around 70-80% of students were placed in our course. The highest package offered in our course was 8 LPA. The average package was around 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Dr. Reddy's, Bharat Biotech, etc. Around 50 % of students got internship offers also.
    Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for our course were extremely good at a very low expense. Wi-Fi was available, but sometimes not available. A central library was present in the Dr. Zakir Hussain [building/campus]. Hostel accommodation was very tough due to fewer seats in the hostel.
    Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable in their respective fields. The teaching quality of our faculty members was really good. The course curriculum was relevant, and it's from the country's top 3 institutes. Students became industry-ready. Semester examinations were of a moderate level.

    Placements: This course is very good because every year a total of 80-90% of students pass out the batch. Many companies and internships at the college provide the best package for every student. The highest package is 4 LPA. It is an affordable college.
    Infrastructure: In this college, the infrastructure is very good. The best quality products are used. The hostel facility is available in our college. We use a high-speed Wi-Fi connection. The college has classrooms, labs, a library, a canteen, etc. Sports facilities are available in our college.
    Faculty: Teachers are good. They have completed their master's. Exams are not difficult, but there is very strict paper checking. This course are total of 2 years of course duration and a total of 4 semester exams.

    The university campus is beautiful and well-maintained, especially in the evening.
    Placements: As a first-year student, I didn't know about it that much, but the companies that came for hiring were Wipro, IBM, TCS, Infosys, and Amazon. One more thing. The university provided Coursera and LinkedIn learning so that students could learn many things.
    Infrastructure: There were lots of societies in the university that organized their own cultural and technical fests. The biggest fest in the Faculty of Engineering was organized by the Cultural Council, and at the university level, it was organized through the collaboration of the societies. The technical fests were also organized by the societies. For the engineering students, there was the faculty library and the central library, where most of the books and journals were available.
    Faculty: There were two mid-semester exams and one end-semester exam, along with assignments and practicals. The course curriculum was relevant to the degree we were opting for. The faculty provided ample time to every student, giving extra time if a student was facing problems.

    I'm satisfied with my college because of good faculty, facilities, and infrastructure.
    Placements: Less percentage of placement because this is a theoretical subject. But some of the students were placed in my course. I haven’t placed anywhere, but where I work, they hire me because I studied in Jamia Millia Islamia. There is an increase in the possibility of getting in anywhere.
    Infrastructure: All facilities were available there like Wi-Fi, classrooms, and library. Personally, I like the library a lot. There is much and an abundance of books, including self-development books. Sports and game facilities happen here. The quality of food is much good, and to be honest, medical facilities were also good.
    Faculty: Teachers were very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good. There are difficulties in exams because they provide flexibility. Students should not worry about taking admission in this college because the faculty is actually good. Feel free to take admission.
    Other: I chose this course because it gave a flexible environment and doesn't put any pressure. I also chose this because I wanted to do a Ph.D. There are events and fests organized. Also, there are extracurricular activities.
