Q:   What is the ACAT syllabus?
A: 

ACAT syllabus includes all the important topics of subjects that are relevant for business and general aptitude. For ACAT exam, candidates have to study, Verbal Reasoning and Language Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, General Knowledge of Indian and Global Scenarios and Data Interpretation and Analysis. Given below are the topics included in the ACAT syllabus: -

The Verbal Reasoning and Language Comprehension section of ACAT exam syllabus includes various topics of Grammar,   Vocabulary, Parajumbles, Fill in the Blanks, Sentence Corrections, Synonyms and Antonyms, Reading Comprehension, Active and Passive Voice, ErrorSpotting, etc.

The Quantitative Aptitude section of ACAT syllabus includes all the topics of Mathematics from Class 9 to 10 such as Arithmetic, Geometry, Algebra Trigonometry Modern Math, Number System, Time, Speed and Distance, Time and Work, Profit and Loss, Arithmetic, Mensuration, etc.

General Knowelge of Indian and Global Scenarios: Static GK, History and Geography, Personalities, Awards and Recognitions, Sport, etc.

The Data Interpretation and Analysis syllabus of ACAT exam includes topics that require analytical interpretation of data presented in the form of Puzzles, Pie Charts, Venn Diagram, Line Graphs, Tables and Bar Graphs. It also includes topic such as Syllogisms, Blood Relations, Missing Data, Family Tree, etc. 

Q:   Will the ACAT also be conducted in an offline mode?
A: 

The ACAT exam is conducted in a CBT test mode across as many as 40 test cities in the country. The exam is conducted for admission to the MBA programme offered by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. There is no provision of the ACAT exam being conducted offline. Students must visit the exam centre to take the exam online.

Q:   How much time is needed for ACAT preparation?
A: 

The amount of time required for ACAT or Amrita MBA Entrance Exam preparation can be different according to the existing knowledge, knowing the exam pattern, and student's ability to understand the concepts being tested. Generally, students spend two to six months preparing for the ACAT exam. The syllabus of the ACAT exam is not very difficult. But, one also has to spend ample of time in practice sessions and mocks to be able to master all types of ACAT questions - easy, moderate and tough.As a rough guideline, if the student has a solid base in the relevant subjects and can dedicate three to four hours per day to your ACAT preparation, a two to three month preparation period may be sufficient.

Q:   What is the total duration of the ACAT exam?
A: 

The ACAT exam is a time based exam. The ACAT question paper has 100 multiple-choice questions in total. The question paper is to be completed in 150 minutes or two hours and 30 minutes. Candidates appearing for the ACAT exam, must adhere to the exam timings and ensure reaching the exam centre at least an hour before the exam begins. Candidates will not be allowed to the enter the examination hall once the gates close neither will they be given extra time. They must also keep in mind the negative markings.

Q:   Is there a sectional weightage in the ACAT exam?
A: 

Yes, there is sectional weightage in the ACAT exam. There are four sections in the ACAT question paper. There is a total of 100 MCQs in the ACAT exam and each sections has 25 multiple-choice questions each. Each question will carry three marks which makes a total of 75 marks per sections and 300 marks overall.
