Q. What were the GD topics at the time of your admission?

A.

I was asked about my opinion about reservation in the religion category. The topic was basically reservation of the backward classes. We were asked whether we agreed or disagreed with the same.

Q. What were the focus areas during your GD preparation?

A.

I only spoke valid points. I discussed reservation in relation to job and admission. I did not focus on any particular thing. It was a sudden interview and I didn’t know what they would ask.

Q. What methods did you use to prepare for your GD?

A.

I did not follow any such method.

Q. Did you take any help (coaching centers/materials) to prepare for your GD?

A.

I did not take any coaching classes but I sought help from Google. I gathered all the knowledge I could from CAT prepration websites.

Q. How many panelists and participants were there?

A.

There were two panelists and both of them were college faculty members. There were 9 participants, few of them were fresh graduates and few were experienced.

Q. Who were the panelists in your GD & PI? How difficult were they to tackle? What was your overall strategy to tackle the panel and what worked?

A.

There were 2 professors, one was Ms. Arpita. They were somewhat difficult to tackle as I did no preparation beforehand. I am from Kerala. I do not have good communication skills but I tried to convey my message and tell them what I thought. I don’t know if the answers were right or wrong. But yes they were interested in listening to me.

Q. What were the questions asked in your PI?

A.

They asked me to introduce myself. They asked questions related to my educational background specifically graduation.

Q. How did you prepare for your PI?

A.

I did not do any preparation beforehand. I just randomly cracked it. I was not even aware that it was going to happen that very day.

Q. What strategies (books/reference materials/coaching) did you apply for preparation of PI?

A.

I surfed the internet for help. I visited CAT prepration websites. Also, my neighbor has completed his MBA and he helped me a lot during the entire process.

Q. Did you happen to panic at any given pint of time during the GD & PI? Any particular moment in which you wanted to go back and change or may perform better?

A.

Since I was not prepared, I panicked a little. There is no such particular moment which I want to change.

Q. How was your overall GD & PI experience?

A.

I would rate it 8. It was quite good. I liked the college and the faculty was quite supportive during the entire process.

Q. What tips do you have for the aspirants appearing for GD & PI?

A.

Aspirants should be aware of the recent news and only raise valid points. Don't make stories. Also, one should be aware of the current scenario.
