IIM Kozhikode Final Placement Report 2021: 137 Companies Extend Offers to 459 Students

IIM Kozhikode has completed the final placement for the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) batch of 2021 in a virtual mode. The batch consisted of 459 students who were extended offers by 137 companies. As compared to last year, the number of recruiters has increased by 8.1 per cent. Consulting sector extended the highest number of offers constituting 32.5 per cent offers at IIM Kozhikode. The mean and median salary offered were Rs 22.5 lakh per annum (LPA) and Rs 20 LPA respectively. Even though there has been a slight dip in the median salary as compared to last year, the top 50 per cent of the students bagged an average CTC of Rs 28.9 LPA, which is an 8.1 per cent increase from last year.
Top Recruiters at IIM Kozhikode Final Placement Process 2021
Out of the total 137 participating companies in the IIM Kozhikode Final Placement 2021 process, 51 were first-time recruiters. Some of the top participating companies were Accenture Strategy, Amazon, American Express, Asian Paints, Bain & Co., Bajaj Auto, Boston Consulting Group, Capgemini, Cognizant Business Consulting, Citi Bank, Deloitte, Deutsche Bank, EY, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, JPMorgan Chase & Co, Microsoft, Nomura, PwC, Reliance, RPG, Samsung, TAS, TATA Sky, etc.
Bajaj Finserv, BlackRock, Equirus Capital, Franklin Templeton, GoIndigo, L'Oreal, Marsh India, Michael Page and Paytm were among the 51 new recruiters who participated in the process this year.

Domain-wise Placement Trends at IIM Kozhikode
Consulting, Finance and IT/Analytics were the top three domains from which the offers were made. Let us take a detailed look at the domain-wise placement trends and top recruiters.
Consulting
This was the highest recruiting domain in the IIM Kozhikode placement process of 2021 which constituted 150. As compared to last year, the number of offers increased by 12.5 per cent. The top and regular recruiters in this domain were Accenture Strategy, Bain & Co., BCG, Blue Yonder, Cognizant Business Consulting, Deloitte, EY, Infosys Consulting, IQVIA Consulting, Optum, PwC, Thoucentric and ZS Associates.
Finance
The finance sector saw the second-highest offers, which was 99, which constituted 21.6 per cent. The top companies were Axis Bank, Bank of America, BlackRock, Citi Bank, Deutsche Bank, Equirus Capital, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, ICICI Bank, IDFC First Bank, J.P.Morgan Chase & Co., State Street, and Yes Bank.
IT/Analytics
Information Technology/Analytics was the third-highest recruiting sector where as many as 77 offers were made, which constituted almost 17 per cent. The major recruiters were American Express, Enphase Energy, Google, Fractal Analytics, Microsoft, Mphasis and Walmart Labs.
Sales & Marketing
Recruiters from the Sales & Marketing sector made 70 offers, which is over 15 per cent of the total offers. Prominent recruiters were Asian Paints, Bajaj Auto, Casio India, DRL, Everest Industries, GSK, HUL, ITC, Lenovo, Nestle, Paytm, Reckitt Benckiser, Samsung, Xiaomi among others.
Operations and General Management
The combined percentage of offers in the Operations and General Management domain was 13.8 per cent. The Highest Mean salary was offered in the Operations domain. The top recruiters of this domain were AB InBev, BlackBuck, Capgemini, JSW, Mahindra, Ninjacart, Reliance, Rebel Foods, RPG, and TAS.
The students also received offers from start-ups and e-commerce firms including Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Paytm and Udaan. Yes, it is difficult to get admission in IIM Kozhikode. With it being one of the top IIMs, the admission chances are very slim. Only those who clear the high cutoff can get a seat in flagship PGP programme. The selection rate is said to be one in hundred. Students have to clear not only the cutoff,

To get admission in IIM Kozhikode, students have to check the eligibility first. Eligible students can then apply online. The institute selects students on an entrance basis. Students have to clear the selection rounds, such as WAT/ PI. Selected students have to report for verification of documents
