IIM Ranchi waitlist movement 2026 details have been released alongwith the final result of MBA admission 2026. The final merit list has been released course wise for MBA,MBA HRM and MBA BA. Candidates who appeared for the PI round in February can check their selection status at the institute website through login. Those who have been selected for admission will have to accept te offer of admission by paying a token amount (adjustable in the first semester fee), by a certain deadline shared by the institute. Post that offers for students waitlisted will be rolled out.

IIM Ranchi Waitlist Movement: How are Seats Alloted?
MBA seats will be allotted to waitlist candidates on the basis of availability as well as their Composite Score. IIM Ranchi calculates the Composite score on the basis of candidate’s CAT exam score, WAT-PI, Academics, Work Experience and Diversity. For General category the IIM Ranchi waitlist is stringent but for SC/ST/PwD categories it is usually relaxed.

- Admission acceptance rate: The release of waitlist is totally dependent on whether all seats get filled basis the final result or not.

After the declaration of CAT results, IIMs and other top MBA colleges start the candidate shortlisting process. The institutes fix CAT cut offs category wise and invite applicants to appear for Written Ability Test, Group Discussion GD and Personal Interview PI rounds for MBA Admission.
