The waitlist will be released most likely in June-July depending on the number of vacant seats. After the acceptance of offer have been done by candidates in the merit lists, IIM Nagpur will evaluate candidature of applicants kept in waiting. A category wise list will be prepared and released round wise until all the seats have been filled.

IIM Nagpur allots seats to candidates in the flagship MBA course on the basis of Composite Score calculated during the selection process round. It includes CAT score, WAT-PI performance, Academic record, work experience. Candidates who score high are accommodated in the merit list, and rest in the waitlist. The waitlist moves as number of candidates accept or reject offer of admission.

IIM Nagpur Waitlist 2026: What Should Candidates Do?
IIM Nagpur applicants for MBA 2026 batch who do not find space in the first merit list, must not lose heart and keep the expectation high for getting a seat in the first waitlist. Be prepared with relevant documents and fee amount as you will be required to complete the formalities within a short window.
However, at the same time, they must keep their options open as admissions at most of the B-Schools close by July.
You should not wait until the last waitlist, can confirm admission elsewhere. You can always withdraw admission in that B-school and go for IIM Nagpur if you make it to the admission list. The acceptance fee is refundable in all B-Schools.
