Seats in IIM Trichy MBA course are allotted on the basis of Composite Score of the candidate. This Composite Score is calculated on the basis of candidate’s performance in CAT exam and PI, academic profile, work experience and diversity (academic and gender). Those who score higher find space in the IIM Trichy merit list as they are preferred over all qualifying candidates. The waitlist is then released containing candidates who have scored high but could not be accommodated in the merit lists. The IIM Trichy waitlist movement happens as the candidates accept admission offer or reject it.
