NIIT University’s Activity-Oriented Course allows us to learn a hobby and get course credits for it, informs Sneh Kumar

I was a Science student in higher secondary school but I did not have Mathematics. My father is a doctor and from him I got the inspiration to choose Medical field. But after completing Class 12 exams, one of my brothers told me about the career and future aspects of Management degree which fascinated me a lot. Earlier I had thoughts of pursuing BSc programme but now I wanted to pursue BBA. So I started searching for good BBA colleges in the city. While searching for Management colleges, I came across NIIT University that offers Integrated MBA programme which students can join directly after school. The programme is of four years of duration. After talking to the counsellors and reading about the University on google, I decided to join NIIT only.

Admission to Interated MBA programme at NIIT University is based on AIP – Admission Interaction Process which is incomparable to any other entrance exam. AIP is a wholesome process which comprises of an entrance exam and a Personal Interview round.

The aptitude test comprises of general knowledge-based questions that helps the management to understand students' interests. Students who clear the exam receive an interview call. A panel of faculty members interacts with the student to know more of them, their interests, their confidence level, zeal to learn and grow and many other factors.

Alongside I was also trying for the IIL Integrated MBA programme, which is similar to one offered by NIIT University, but the duration of the programme is five years. So I dropped the idea of joining IIL.

The interview or the interaction round at NIIT University is a two-way communication process in which students can also ask about all the doubts they have related to academics or placements or any other thing. I was able to clear all the rounds with ease.

The faculty members are very interactive and engaging and this makes me attend all the classes. Learning is fun here.

We also have many student-driven clubs in our university such as dance, music, theatre and photography. I like the photography club the most. In NIIT University, we have a special thing known as AOC- Activity oriented course. In this course, we can learn about our activity hobby and have course credits for it. It sounded interesting to me while I was joining the University.

NIIT University has helped me to grow holistically. I have seen many changes in my personality. I have a different perspective of looking at situations coming to my life. I think it is all possible because of the calm environment of NIIT University. The Green environment fascinated me a lot.

I aspire to become a business analyst or fintech banker in future.
