Q:   Can I make changes to the documents I've uploaded after submitting the TISSNET application form?
A: 

No, Once the TISSNET application form is submitted candidates will not be able to make changes in the documents uploaded. It is crucial to check the TISSNET application form before final submission. TISS does not provide the proivision for application form correction window. In case candidate has uploaded wrong information on the application form, he/she will be required to start the TISSNET application form process again with the re-payment of application fee. 

TISSNET 2024 registrations are expected to commence in third week of December 2023. The window for TISSNET registration will close in last week of January 2024.

Q:   In TISSNET application form are there specific requirements for category certificates or income certificates?
A: 

Yes, candidates belonging to reserved categories will be required to upload the prescribed documents based on category. Refer the table below to know the category-wise documents required:

Q:   What is the size and format for uploading my photograph and signature in TISSNET application form?

Candidates willing to appear for TISSNET exam for admission to PG programme of TISS campuses must fill the application form online/offline on or before the last date. Before filling the TISSNET application form candidates must ensure to keep the required documents required. Candidates are advised to upload the documents in prescribed and size, failing which the documents will not be uploaded online. Candidates can apply for TISSNET 2024 in online mode as mentioned below:

  1. Visit the official website of TISS

  2. Register with required details, including name, email id, etc.

  5. Enter personal, academics, professional details, details of annual income and caste category

Q:   I have a back in 5th semester and currently, I am in final year of engineering. Am I eligible for TISSNET?

To be eligible for TISSNET (TISS National Entrance Test) for admission to various postgraduate programs offered by Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), candidates must have completed a Bachelor's degree of minimum three years duration or its equivalent from a recognised university. As you are currently in the final year of engineering and have a back in the 5th semester, you may still be eligible to apply for TISSNET provided you complete your degree before the admission process begins. However, it is recommended that you check the eligibility criteria of the specific programme you are interested in and ensure that you fulfill all the requirements before applying for the exam. Q:   How can I enter TISSNET exam centre preference?

TISSNET exam centre preference can be added while filling the application form. TISSNET 2024 registration forms will be released in the third week of December 2023. While filling the application form candidates will be able to select up to four exam cities. TISSNET 2024 exam is expected to be held across 40 exam cities in India. Candidates will be able to choose form the list provided by the authorities. To select the preferred city for allotment of TISSNET exam centre, candidates must follow the steps mentioned below: 1. Register on the official website of TISS 2. Login with the credentials created. 3. Screen will display the TISSNET 2024 application form. Enter the exam city name as per preference. 4. Fill up the rest of the application details 5. Submit the application form along with the payment of the application fee.
Q:   How can I change the TISSNET exam centre?

Candidates filling the TISSNET application form must carefully enter the exam centre preferences. Candidates must note that the authorities does not activate the window for form correction. Only in case of genuine reasons, the plea to change the examination centre will be entertained. For the same, candidates should reach out to the examination authority or write to them at admission@tiss. Edu. Only registered candidates will be able to download the TISSNET 2024 admit card when released. Admit card will mention the candidate's and alloted exam centre. No request for change in the exam centre alloted will be entertained. On the basis of the preference added and availability, authorities will allot the exam centre. Hence, candidates are advised to check the exam centre preference entered before final submission of the TISSNET 2024 registration form.

How to Obtain TISSNET Application Form Offline

Candidates belonging to remote areas where internet facility is not available can send a request for TISSNET application form along with the requisite application fee (category-wise and number of courses) by speed post. TISS Mumbai will send the application form along with the prospectus to the candidates within a week of receiving the request. 

  • Fill the TISSNET application form with the required details
  • Select the preferred programme
  • Take a printout of the filled up application form
  • Paste a passport-size coloured photograph and sign at the space provided
  • Send the application form to back to the official address with photocopies of the required documents (caste certificates, income certificates, application fee receipt, etc.)

TISSNET 2024 Registration: Important Points to Remember

  • Application forms may be rejected if in case of the following:
    • Incomplete Application
    • Received without requisite fee

  • An applicant can select a maximum of three programmes

Candidates applying online for TISSNET 2024 exam will be asked to choose between two modes of payment - Cash or Payment Gateway (debit card/credit card/ net banking) in the online application form. If the preferred mode of payment is cash, candidates must note that a payment challan has to be downloaded from the 'Download Challan' tab. The payment challan will have three copies. Candidates must now deposit the cash amount mentioned on the challan in any branch of the State Bank Of India (SBI). The bank will return the two copies of the challan (Student Copy and TISS Copy) along with the bank's seal, signature, and journal number on it. Candidates must then scan the 'TISS Copy' of the challan, login back into the online application system, and upload it. To pay the TISSNET application fee through debit card/credit card/ net banking, candidates must ensure to have card details, login ID and password of the card.

What After TISSNET Application Form?

Soon after the TISSNET registration process is over, registered candidates will be able to download the TISSNET admit card when released. Only candidates who have completed the registration and paid the application fee can download the TISSNET hall ticket. TISSNET admit card is released soon after the registration process is over. Only candidates who will complete the TISSNET application form along with the payment of the application fee will be able to download the TISSNET hall ticket when released. The admit card is an important document that has to be carried on the day of the examination, without which candidates will not be permitted to enter the examination hall. To download the TISSNET admit card candidates must visit the official website of TISS and the banner will display the link to TISSNET Hall Ticket'. Candidates must then enter the login credentials to download the admit card. Screen will display the candidate's details and exam centre details where candidates have to report on the date of the examination. You will be redirected to a page where you can reset your password. Enter your new password and confirm it. Click on the "Submit" button to save your new password.
