However, candidates must ensure to device strategy to attempt maximum number of questions with maximum accuracy within the given time duration. As per the exam pattern of TISSNET English proficiency section will consist of 30 questions, Mathematics and Logical Reasoning will consist of 30 question and General Awareness will consist of 40 questions. Candidates will not be given extra time to complete the examination.

TISSNET Mock Test Important Instructions

  • TISSNET question paper will comprise 100 questions carrying 1 mark each
  • There will be no negative marking in TISSNET exam. 
  • Candidates will have 100 minutes (1 hour 40 minutes) to complete mock test.

Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test TISSNET is conducted by Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The exam is conducted for all Master's degree programmes offered by TISS. The questions are asked from: 1) General Awareness 2) English proficiency 3) logical reasoning 4) Maths As you have 6 months’ time, the following tips would be useful : A) For English section, it is essential to read the newspapers, magazines and articles so that you can improve your vocabulary skills by looking for new words. It would also improve reading skills and would avoid grammar mistakes. You may also refer to good books like Wren and Martin which would contain enough amount of information to excel in English. B) For Maths and Logical Reasoning section, practice is very important. You need to know the basics of maths very well so as to give your best in this section. Revise the formulae often to keep your associated with it and practice more and more questions. You may refer to the previous year questions which would be helpful for this logical section and yes for the other sections too. C) For General Awareness, there is generally no separate method to prepare. Candidates appearing for the TISSNET exam must ensure to reach the allotted exam centre one hour prior to the allotted time.
