The Batch of 2005 from BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus has announced a ₹1 crore Gift to fund a 100% scholarship for a girl student at the campus. This marks the first-ever Batch Gift exclusively benefiting a Goa Campus student, setting a powerful precedent for alumni-led impact.

As per a statement issued by the The announcement was made during a grand reunion held from February 14-16, where about 100 alumni from across the world gathered at their alma mater, while many others joined online in some of the sessions. They came not just to relive old memories but to build a legacy.

Prof. V. Ramgopal Rao, Vice Chancellor, BITS Pilani, lauded the initiative, stating, “This generous contribution by the 2005 Batch exemplifies the spirit of giving back. It sets a benchmark for alumni engagement and reinforces our commitment to fostering inclusivity and excellence in education.”

Prof. Suman Kundu, Director, BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus, who addressed the alumni’s eagerness to understand the campus’s current challenges and future vision, applauded this transformative initiative, stating, “This is more than just financial aid; it’s a bold statement in support of women in STEM. The 2005 Batch is not just giving back—they are shaping the future. The pioneers created history.”

Prof. Arya Kumar, Dean – Alumni Relations, BITS Pilani, emphasized the broader impact, saying, “BITSians have always led by example. This gift is a game-changer, inspiring more batches of BITS Goa campus to step forward and make a difference.”
