Review of BITS Pilani - Goa Campus.
Placements: The highest and average salary packages offered during the 2021 placement drive were 43.3 LPA and 16 LPA, respectively. Microsoft was the top recruiter during the 2021 placement drive, as it offered the highest salary package of 42.3 LPA to seven students. Other top recruiting companies included Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, IBM, Cred, Flipkart, etc. As per the report, a total of 808 have registered for the placement process. Out of these, 736 have been placed in specific companies.
Infrastructure: The state-of-the-art infrastructure was amazingly engineered over the slope of the hill. The main academic building was well-equipped with air-conditioned labs, lecture halls, and classrooms. There was a well-managed medical center. There were cricket grounds, tennis courts, basketball courts, etc. The food available in the mess and canteen was fine.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was very good. If students adjust to the course curriculum, they can easily enjoy the way of studying. Semester exams in this college were average. You must get a CGPA of 8.3 in order to pass.

Review of BITS Pilani (Goa Campus).
Placements: Over 50% of the students got placed in chemical engineering. The salary package offered ranges from 5.5 LPA to more than 40 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Schlumberger, Reliance, Shell, ExxonMobil, etc. Almost 100% of students from our course got an internship in companies like DRDO, TIFR, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus is well-planned and managed. The library is well-stocked, and classrooms are comparable with top international institutes. Wi-Fi network is available across campus. Hostel culture is very happening and is a great place to grow one's network for the long run. Sports facilities in the student activity centre, i.e., SAC are well-maintained and up to international standards. Medical facilities and doctors on call are helpful and readily available.
Faculty: Professors in our college are highly qualified and perform world-class research. Teaching quality is exceptional, and professors are very approachable. The course curriculum is designed to engage students and enable them to learn the content in a much broader spectrum. Students who are interested in the course become industry-ready with the help of faculty members.
Other: I always had an inclination towards our course of chemical engineering. The best thing about our course is that it equips me with a fundamental knowledge of the world and how things work. I can branch-off very easily into a more specific sub-topic and excel at that due to the fundamentals of our subjects. Fests conducted in our college are great for students to engage with their peers and build their network. Campus surroundings and the culture is unparalleled to any other institute in the country. It prepares students for dealing with real-world problems and makes them ready to take on anything, and they set students' mind and heart.

The college offers 0% attendance policy, and it is the best for researchers.
Placements: In the year 2016 to 2017, almost 91.27% of the students were placed. The highest salary package offered was more than 30 LPA and the average salary package offered was 8 LPA. Nearly 153 companies visited the campus to conduct placement drives. In the year 2017 to 2018, nearly 93.15% of the students were placed. The highest salary package offered was more than 40 LPA and the average salary package offered was 11.8 LPA. Nearly 169 companies visited the campus for placements. I'm not sure about the highest salary package offered. For overseas placements, the salary package offered was up to 70 LPA. Rest of data is available on the official website of the college in the placement units section.
Infrastructure: The college provides Wi-Fi, labs, hostel, library and cafeteria. Most of the sports facilities are available. The gym is air-conditioned, and they charge low prices. The college has a cricket ground which is managed by BCCI. The college has the best-in-class infrastructure in new academic buildings. Single occupancy hostel rooms are available.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are qualified and knowledgeable. PowerPoint presentations and videos are used for teaching. Slides are uploaded timely on Photon which is an intra-campus service. The courses are designed sufficiently to give proper exposure to the students of core engineering courses.
Other: Fests organised in our college are quite good with footprints of the world's top 30 DJ and famous Bollywood singers.

It is a great campus in the heart of Goa.
Placements: The placements for my batch have been good so far. Most of the students who applied for placements have been placed, while many others have got other opportunities in life. The college placement team is really helpful, and unique PS feature helps to get good jobs. They provide you with internships in major companies where you have a chance to show your value and skills.
Infrastructure: The campus infrastructure is pretty great. We have a huge campus and great infrastructure. We have a huge library and great classrooms. The campus has a medical centre as well. The whole campus has Wi-Fi connectivity of incredible quality. The campus hosts separate grounds for all the sports. Anyone would be lucky to become a part of the institution.
Faculty: The faculty in the institute are well-qualified and well supportive. Each one of them is a PhD holder from some reputed institute, and you get to learn a lot if you are willing to learn. The students can be part of their research projects. The course curriculum is well designed for overall development.
Other: The campus is in the heart of Goa and has lots of exciting things to do. The college hosts India's three biggest fests and has a crowd from all over the country as well as a few from foreign countries. You have plenty of other extracurricular activities on campus.

BITS - Goa : It's Magic! A great place to be, with Goa as cherry on top.
Placements: The placements of our batch haven't yesterday started. In the previous batch, we had a median CTC of ~7LPA, even more than Mechanical. This is the placement in core. Many students opt to sit in IT or finance or Non-tech sector, they have correspondingly higher CTC as a beginner there gets more money. In core chemical, we had Honeywell UOP as well as Reliance visiting us. We've also had Deccan Chemicals, Pfizer and Shell for campus placements in the past. Thermax and Honeywell UOP also visited us for internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure could be better, especially the labs. Other than that, there are a lot of professors doing research with equipments from their funding and undergrads can do projects under them where they help conduct the experiments, maybe even do it themselves. Core chemical and mechanical have some same subjects and hence, the same lab doubles up for both the sets of students. For the first year, there are great labs. The hostels are good enough and there are ample opportunities to play sports. Wi-fi is available 24x7 and we also have LAN in our rooms.
Faculty: The teachers in Chemical Engineering are buying short of awesome. They are well qualified and even more importantly, well connected. The only negative is you need to attend classes if you don't want lose out on grades as class appearance makes for almost 30% of grades. We have different people doing all kinds of things, nanoscience, process intensification, biochemical engineering, advanced transport etc. The only issue I have is the faculty ratio given the student intake is set to increase. So, I think we need more professors, maybe with core chemical engineering as focus.
Other: Awesome fests! And crowd you'd be continuously challenged with. No reservations in itself gives you a crowd that is envy of all.

An overview of BITS, Goa.
Placements: Placements are there in core companies as well as finance, IT and consultancy companies. The average package and placement percentage is most for the CS and electronics streams. There are chemical and mechanical companies that visit the campus in both the semester, but very few students sit for those companies because they prefer further studies. The initial package for core companies is often low because these jobs have long training periods. This information is according to me, being a chemical student.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi available in all parts of the campus, be it the academic block or the hostels. There is a huge library with almost every book available. Even if there is some book missing, we can always report, and it gets in the library within a few days. There are classrooms with the strength of 70 to 80 students. There are 8 lecture theatres with the strength of 250 to 300 students. There is one large computer centre with approximately 150 to 200 computers. There are electronics labs, DD lab, chemical engineering lab, material science lab and many more. There are four main eateries in the campus, the institute cafeteria, ice and spice, food king and red chillies. There is a cafe coffee day also on the campus. There is a shopping store called Borkars inside. Also, a branch of SBI is available inside with 2 ATMs of SBI and PNB. There is lots and lots of greenery around. Sports grounds for cricket, basketball, football, lawn tennis, volleyball, are also available. There is a separate building called student activity centre (SAC) where all courts for badminton, table tennis, chess room, dance room, crafts room, squash, boxing and gym room is present. There are two dining halls present called A mess and C mess, named after the infrastructure pattern of the campus. The food in both the dining halls is much better than what we usually hear of about other colleges. There are 14 boys hostel buildings and 2 girls hostel buildings. The rooms are well built and are mostly singly occupied. It has been 2 years inside the campus, and I have never faced any infrastructure related problem ever.
Faculty: The faculty members for all the degrees are very experienced and are mostly doctorate from renowned universities. They are very helpful and are easily approachable. Anytime you can drop a mail to them, and you'll get a reply within an hour or two. The teaching here is mostly through the usage of presentations and the blackboard something for some detailed explanation of concepts. We here follow the MIT structure and have moodled accounts, wherein the presentations and course-related stuff are uploaded time to time, and we can easily get access to it. So, we don't have the burden of copying down everything that the teacher speaks in the class. We can focus on listening and understanding. We get industry exposure through the practice school part of the degree. After the end of the second year, the summer vacations are for internships in different companies and industries all over the country, and then in the fourth year, we have our second practice school. The teachers here are very knowledgeable and have always helped me out in all respects, academically or any career-related doubts.
Other: Till last year, there used to be a batch of 600 undergraduates. This year onwards, the number has been increased to 800. There are three main fests, the cultural fest Waves, the technical fest Quark and the sports fest called Spree. Apart from that, there is a TEDx event, and an entrepreneurial event called Coalscene every year. There are two main scholarships called the merit cum need (with an income limit for the families with lower income) and the merit scholarship for the bright students of the campus.
