As part of JEECUP counselling 2026, candidates have to fill in their choices for colleges and courses. The choice filling process is completely online. Candidates who are allotted seats in the JEECUP counselling must complete the document verification process to confirm their admission. Shortlisted students have to report to the verification centres with their original documents and self-attested photocopies. While reporting to the institute, candidates need to carry their JEECUP admit card, rank card, application form, mark sheets, domicile certificate and certificates. The number of seats and reservations are subject to change under government orders until the counselling begins. As per the UP Government rules, the candidates belonging to reserved categories are eligible for a seat. These categories are:

1. Vertical Reservations:

• Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of General Category - 10%
• Other Backward Classes (OBC) if they belong to Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) - 27%
• Scheduled Castes (SC) - 21%
• Scheduled Tribes (ST) - 2%

2. Horizontal Reservations:

• Persons with Disability (PwD) (minimum 40% disability) - 5%
• Freedom Fighter - 2%
• Ward of Military personnel - 5%
• Female Candidate - 20%
