Plaksha University Mohali accepts the following entrance exam scores for admission to B.Tech: SAT, ACT, JEE Mains, Grade 12, or equivalent board scores. These scores are used as part of the admission criteria, and students are encouraged to submit at least one of these scores to be eligible for admission to the B.Tech programme at Plaksha University Mohali

After completing a BTech course from Plaksha University Mohali, there are promising career prospects in various fields. According to the Plaksha University BTech placement brochure of 2025, the students of the BTech in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence secured the most number of placements.

The brochure mentions that there were 40 students of BTech in CSAI who were eligible for placments. Out of these eligible students, 31 got placed successfully. 

The Plaksha University BTech students are charged INR 1.55 Lacs as hostel fees. Aside from the hostel fees, students are also required to pay INR 72,000 as meal plan fees, bringing the total hostel fees to INR 2.27 lakh. The hostel fees is charged on per semester basis. However, the method of charging the meal plan fees is unknown.

Plaksha University offers Young Technology Scholarships two-week residential summer programme. Candidates who are selected for this course have to pay a fee of INR 97,500 + GST to confirm their seat.

Plaksha University offers admission to PhD programme based on entrance exam scores of the candidates. The university prefers aspirants with scores in CSIR NET-JRF, DBT-JRF, UGC-NET-JRF, GATE, IIT JAM, etc. Such shortlisted aspirants are exempted from appearing for the written test conducted by Plaksha University and are called directly for the interview round. Plaksha University BTech course has  8 semesters. The number of subjects in each semester varies from the other. The first six semesters focus on the theoretical and practical aspects of learning and application. In contrast, the seventh and eighth semesters focus mainly on the project and internship, which leads to the completion of the course.

Plaksha University offers the PG Diploma cousre in Tech Leaders Fellowship (TLF). The programme lasts for a duration of one year. TLF begins with coursework in Math, Programming, Stats, and Data science. Fellows explore advanced topics in ML, System Design, Computer Vision, NLP besides leadership, entrepreneurship, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

 Yes, Plaksha University welcomes applications from students who are coming from Commerce and Humanities backgrounds for the majors: Data Science, Business and Economics, as long as they have studied Mathematics up to Class 12.
