IIM Bangalore Placements 2025: Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) has successfully completed the lateral and final placements for the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) and the Post Graduate Programme in Business Analytics (PGPBA) for the Class of 2023-25. A total of 595 students participated in the placement process, with all of them securing jobs across 176 firms. The latest placement report underscores the strong demand for IIM Bangalore's graduates, with Management Consulting emerging as the top career choice.
IIM Bangalore Placements 2025: Top Career Choices
The placement season saw Management Consulting take the lead, accounting for a significant 41% of the total offers made. Students from the PGP and PGPBA programs were also recruited by top firms across other sectors, including Technology, Product Management, and Investment Banking.
In addition, recruiters from industries such as FMCG, Retail, E-commerce, Conglomerates, Fintech, Healthcare, and Manufacturing offered diverse roles spanning strategy, finance, marketing, general management, product management, operations, and analytics.
The report highlights that Accenture Strategy emerged as the top recruiter, making 75 job offers, followed by other prominent companies such as Boston Consulting Group (25 offers), TCS Management Consulting (24 offers), and American Express (20 offers).
IIM-B Placements 2025: Strong Participation from Legacy and New Recruiters
According to the Student Placement Committee, the Class of 2023-25 placements witnessed a strong participation from both legacy firms and new recruiters, with about 30% of the companies being first-time participants in the recruitment process. The report also revealed that the Lateral Placement Process (for candidates with more than 18 months of work experience) secured over 100 offers, the highest among the top B-schools in India.
The committee further praised the collaborative relationship between the institute and industry partners, which contributed significantly to the success of the placement drive.
IIM Bangalore Placements 2025: Sector-Wise Breakdown of Offers
The sector-wise distribution of offers shows a diverse range of industries tapping into the talent pool at IIM Bangalore:
- Consulting: 32 firms, 245 offers
- IT Software/Analytics/Product Management: 34 firms, 80 offers
- Finance/Banking/Investments: 41 firms, 79 offers
- Ecommerce/Payments/Telecom/Logistics: 19 firms, 70 offers
- Manufacturing/Construction/Energy/Infrastructure: 19 firms, 38 offers
- FMCG/Retail: 16 firms, 37 offers
- Conglomerates: 8 firms, 23 offers
IIM Bangalore’s Record-Breaking Placements
Professor Nishant Verma, Chairperson of Career Development Services at IIM Bangalore, expressed his satisfaction with the results despite the challenging global job market. He stated, “We are glad to share that job offers made during the process have set a new benchmark both in terms of the number of offers made and the diversity of roles across sectors.”
