RRB Group D Apply Online 2026: Check Details about the Application Dates Here

The RRB extended the last date to apply for the RRB Group D exam CEN no. 09/2025. Earlier, the last date was March 2. It was extended to March 9. The fee payment last date was March 11, 2026.

RRB Group D application form needs to be submitted online only. Candidates are not required to send the hard copy of the application form. RRB Group D application form comprises details such as registration, uploading the scanned photograph and signature, selection of RRBs, etc. 

In RRB Group D registration form, candidates are required to enter basic details. The hard copy of the application form is not sent to candidates by post. Only online applications are accepted for the exam.  Fee is paid online.

A large number of candidates apply for the RRB Group D exam conducted by RRBs. In 2022, a total of 1.15 crore candidates had applied for the exam against 1,03,769 vacancies. RRB Group D application form is released online by RRBs. 

RRB Group D exam is conducted to select candidates for Level 1 posts in Indian Railways. RRB Group D salary for all posts ranges between INR 22,500 to 25,380 depending on the place they are posted. The basic pay of RRB Group D employees is INR 18,000 as per the Seventh pay matrix.  RRB Group D salary serves as a motivation to lakhs of aspirants. RRB Group D selection process comprises CBT, PET/PST, document verification and medical exam. The transgender candidates are given relaxation in the PET. CCAAs trained in railway establishment are given due weightage of marks obtained in their NCVT exam in preparation of final merit list after the conduct of CBT. Based on the performance of candidates in CBT subject to their qualifying in PER, candidates are called for document verification as per their merit and options. In case of two or more candidates secure same marks, their merit position is determined by age criteria i.e., older person is placed at higher merit and in case age is same, then alphabetical order (A to Z) of the name is taken into account to break the tie. Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their passing requisite Medical Fitness Test conducted by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and community certificates and verification of antecedents/character of the candidates. All candidates clearing the DV are called for medical exam. RRBs/RRCs only recommend names of the empanelled candidates and appointment is offered only by the respective Railway Administrations.

RRB Group question papers are released online four days after the exam is conducted. RRBs provide the facility to challenge RRB Group D question paper. Candidates need to submit the objections online only. Candidates are required to mention the question ID against which they want to raise objections.

Candidates are required to pay the application fee for the RRB group D exam. Without paying the fee, the application proces is incomplete.

No. Candidates are not allowed to submit the RRB Group D application form more than once. As multiple application form may lead to the rejection of all forms.

The reasons for rejection of RRB Group D application form are given below: Application forms might be rejected due to invalid photos Signature in capital/block letters Not satisfying the prescribed qualification for the post Over-aged or under-aged or Date of Birth wrongly filled Multiple applications to different Railway zones or to the same Railway zone. In such case, all applications will be rejected and such candidates will be debarred from future RRB/RRC exams Candidate's name figuring in the debarred list of any RRB / RRC Incomplete or incorrectly filled application or any other irregularities which are observed and considered as invalid by RRB.

Yes, candidates can change their states in the RRB Group D exam. This can be done by first choosing 'Application Modification' which is available in the home page of the registration portal. After candidates have chosen the preferred state, they need to pay a non-refundable fee of INR 100 for modifying the application. Once candidates have successfully paid the application fee they can make the necessary changes and then submit it. Please note that candidates will not be able to edit your registration number, email id, mobile number, and your zone. Candidates are required to fill the application form online. The application fee is INR 500 (for all candidates except the fee concession categories). The fee for PwBD/Female /Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen/SC/ST/Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class is INR 250.

Correction in data other than the railway, email and mobile number can be done by paying the modification fee of INR 100.
