Additionally, a Dearness Allowance (DA) of 34 per cent on the basic pay is provided, which amounts to INR 6,120. Candidates are also entitled to a travel allowance based on their posting location. The approximate gross salary is around INR 27,920 in X cities, INR 27,000 in Y cities, and INR 25,560 in Z cities.
RRB Group D Selection Process
RRB Group D selection process consists of CBT, PET, Document Verification and Medical Exam. The CBT carries questions from General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Awareness and Current Affairs. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. Selected candidates of CBT are called for PET. Shortlisted candidates of CBT and PET are called for document verification. Students are also required to undergo medical exam.

CCAAs trained in railway establishment are given due weightage of marks obtained in their NCVT exam in preparation of final merit list after the conduct of CBT. Based on the performance of candidates in CBT subject to their qualifying in PER, candidates are called for document verification as per their merit and options. In case of two or more candidates secure same marks, their merit position is determined by age criteria i.e., older person is placed at higher merit and in case age is same, then alphabetical order (A to Z) of the name is taken into account to break the tie. Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their passing requisite Medical Fitness Test conducted by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and community certificates and verification of antecedents/character of the candidates. Yes, candidates can change their states in the RRB Group D exam. This can be done by first choosing 'Application Modification' which is available in the home page of the registration portal. After candidates have chosen the preferred state, they need to pay a non-refundable fee of INR 100 for modifying the application. Once candidates have successfully paid the application fee they can make the necessary changes and then submit it. Please note that candidates will not be able to edit your registration number, email id, mobile number, and your zone. Candidates are required to fill the application form online. The application fee is INR 500 (for all candidates except the fee concession categories). The fee for PwBD/Female /Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen/SC/ST/Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class is INR 250.
