AIIMS Nursing 2020 Exam Day Guidelines; Reporting Time, Important Do's and Don’ts

AIIMS Nursing 2020 entrance exam for BSc (Post- Basic) Nursing and MSc Nursing 2020 programmes is going to be held on June 11, 2020 from 1.00 PM to 2.30 PM. AIIMS being the organizer of the national level entrance exam has set various guidelines keeping in view the current situation of COVID-19 outbreak and to maintain a fair conductance of the examination. AIIMS Nursing 2020 admit card has been released on June 5, 2020 on their official website.

The admit card is different from the previous year and is having barcode imprinted on it which will enable the candidates to access the entry into the examination hall by scanning the unique barcode. Also, this year candidates don’t have to bring in the copy of the colored photograph but have to carry the photo ID which will be verified at the registration desk and its image will be captured for record and subsequent verification as required at any stage.    

AIIMS has also issued a specific set of instruction required to be followed on the day of the exam, which clearly mentions about the belongings which a candidate can carry inside the exam centre or not. AIIMS Nursing 2020 Exam Day Guidelines

AIIMS has prepared a list of instructions which need to be abide by the candidates on the day of exam. AIIMS has mentioned all the instructions in detail like what things candidates are allowed bring and what’s prohibited in the exam hall, what stationary and the documents the candidates are allowed to bring on the exam day and several other important instructions.

Candidates are required to check all the details printed on the AIIMS Nursing 2020 admit card carefully to avoid any confusion. The admit card has the following details printed on it:

  • Candidate’s name
  • Centre address
  • Reporting time at the exam centre
  • Centre gate closing time
  • Exam date
  • Test and shift timing
  • Instruction for Social distancing and hygiene in times of COVID-19

Tips for candidates

  • Candidates should be familiar with the exact location of the exam centre by leaving early on the exam day.
  • Candidates should reach the exam venue as per the mentioned reporting time as printed on the AIIMS Nursing 2020. If in case, any candidate fails to reach the exam centre on time, he/she will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.
  • If the candidate reports beyond the reporting time, he/she will not be allowed to enter in the inside Test centre. Instructions have been issued for strict compliance. Several pre-examination formalities are required to be performed in the view of COVID-19 spread.

List of belongings allowed at the Centre

  • Printed hard copy of the AIIMS Nursing 2020 Admit Card downloaded from the official website of AIIMS
  • A valid photo ID proof in original (PAN card/ driving license/ voter ID/passport/ aadhaar card (With photograph)/E- aadhaar/ration card/ bank passbook with Photograph).
  • Person with disability (PwD) certificate (if applicable)
  • Face Mask (provided at the entrance of the centre)

List of Objects Prohibited at the Exam Centre

  • Any instrument/geometry/pencil box
  • Handbag
  • Purse
  • Any kind of paper/stationary/textual material (printed or written material)
  • Eatables and water (loose or packed)
  • Mobile phone/ear phone/microphone/pager
  • Smartwatch/calculator/ docu-pen/ slide rule/log tables/camera/tape recorder
  • Any metallic item or electronic gadget

Candidates should follow and abide by all the instruction at the examination centre and should avoid to indulge in any kind of unfair means. Any candidate found doing such activities his/her exam will be cancelled without any notice and a strict action will be taken.

In continuation to the above instructions, the candidates are advised to carefully listen to the verbal instructions given by the invigilator before the commencement of the exam. Hence candidates should reach the exam centre earlier to have a fair and hassle free examination. Keeping in view the ongoing situation, AIIMS has released a separate entrance exam social distancing guidelines which should be followed religiously by each every candidate in order to maintain hygiene and safety.

No, the syllabi of both the entrances differ as per the discretion of the conducting body. However, the common ground for preparation of the nursing entrance is the syllabus of Class12th for the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects.

The AIIMS BSc nursing answer key will be available on the official website, aiimsexams.ac.in. Download it and check the answers being evaluated. Cross-check it with the options chosen at the time of appearing for the exam.
