The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Hons) is a four-year undergraduate degree programme for four years. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Post-Basic) UG degree programme is for two years. To pursue BSc (Hons.) nursing, candidates must complete the minimum eligibility requirements, including passing class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as necessary subjects.

- The BSc Nursing (Post-basic) and BSc Nursing (Hons) Nursing degree combined have 1231 seats available for candidates belonging to all the categories.
- For the UR category candidates, 507 seats are available across 17 AIIMS colleges in India.
A two-stage method is used for the application process in the BSc nursing programmes. The first is through the PAAR (Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration) system, a new AIIMS method. The second is through basic registration, followed by the Code Generation and Final Registration.

AIIMS BSc Nursing (H) counselling process for the academic year 2025-26 concludes on September 27, 2025. The result of the open round counselling was released on September 22, 2025. AIIMS Nursing counselling started on July 11, 2025, and round 2 was conducted till August 25, 2025. The counselling schedule was released by the exam conducting authorities on the official website on July 11, 2025, the same day as the process commencement. Candidates who make it to the merit list based on the written exam will be called for the personal interview/assessment round. The second stage will tentatively have a weightage of 30 marks. Further, the final merit list will be published on the website. A candidate's fate is decided based on their performance in both stages. Almost three times more candidates will be invited for the interview than the actual number of available seats. The assessment process will count the following criteria:
