The AIIMS BSc Nursing 2025 Counselling for the open round result has been released by AIIMS Delhi on September 22, 2025. Candidates who have been allotted the BSc nursing seats must report to the allotted institute by September 27, 2025. The candidates are required to deposit the amount of INR 25000/- through electronic mode as a security deposit on the link available at the candidate's MyPage. 

All the AIIMS BSc nursing events were held online through the official website, bsccourses.aiimsexams.ac.in. The AIIMS nursing exam was held on June 1, 2025.  The AIIMS BSc nursing (post-basic) nursing exam was held on June 21, 2025. The AIIMS Delhi organises, manages, and conducts the entire admission process. About AIIMS Nursing (BSc) Exam 2025

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, Nursing programmes include:

  1. BSc (Hons.) Nursing and
  2. BSc Nursing (Post-Basic)

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Hons) is a four-year undergraduate degree programme for four years. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Post-Basic) UG degree programme is for two years. To pursue BSc (Hons.) nursing, candidates must complete the minimum eligibility requirements, including passing class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as necessary subjects.

AIIMS Seats Availability

  • The BSc Nursing (Post-basic) and BSc Nursing (Hons) Nursing degree combined have 1231 seats available for candidates belonging to all the categories.
  • For the UR category candidates, 507 seats are available across 17 AIIMS colleges in India.

A two-stage method is used for the application process in the BSc nursing programmes. The first is through the PAAR (Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration) system, a new AIIMS method. The second is through basic registration, followed by the Code Generation and Final Registration.

AIIMS BSc Nursing Counselling 2025

AIIMS BSc Nursing (H) counselling process for the academic year 2025-26 concludes on September 27, 2025. The result of the open round counselling was released on September 22, 2025.  AIIMS Nursing counselling started on July 11, 2025, and round 2 was conducted till August 25, 2025. The counselling schedule was released by the exam conducting authorities on the official website on July 11, 2025, the same day as the process commencement. All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, released the AIIMS BSc Nursing Counselling 2025 (Hons) programme guidelines. A merit list will be published online, carrying details of the final results. Candidates clearing the cutoff score released by AIIMS Delhi will be called to participate in the counselling.

The AIIMS Nursing counselling process will be carried out in online mode. The candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the entrance exam. Based on the performance of candidates, a merit list will be released. The candidates scoring the highest percentile will be shortlisted accordingly, and the list of selected candidates will be published on the official website of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Selected candidates would be required to report online on the day of counselling.

Further, the final merit list will be published on the website. A candidate's fate is decided based on their performance in both stages. Almost three times more candidates will be invited for the interview than the actual number of available seats. The assessment process will count the following criteria:

  • Past academic record in the Higher Secondary or class 12 or equivalent examination
  • Past academic record in the Nursing examination
  • Performance as a Staff Nurse

AIIMS Nursing Admission Process for BSc 2025

AIIMS BSc nursing application form was available from April 8, 2025, for basic registration. It can be accessed online at the AIIMS nursing admission portal. AIIMS BSc Nursing final application process 2025 started on April 17, 2025. The AIIMS BSc Nursing 2025 Registration process will be managed and organised online at aiimsexams.ac.in.

Admissions to AIIMS BSc Nursing programmes involve a set of procedures. From registration to release of admit card/hall ticket, to appearing for the national level entrance exam, and then attending the counselling rounds post the declaration of the result. Below is a brief description of the admission process:

Step 1: AIIMS Nursing for BSc Registration 2025

To start the admission process, candidates first have to register. AIIMS Nursing 2025 for BSc admission involves a two-step registration/application process:

  • Basic Registration
  • Final Registration

Step 2: Download AIIMS BSc Nursing 2025 Admit Card

Candidates need to download the AIIMS BSc Nursing 2025 admit card, which will be available online. It will be mandatory to carry a hard copy of the AIIMS nursing admit card on the day of the examination to access entry into the examination hall. The AIIMS BSc Nursing 2025 admit card will be accessible by providing the registration ID and password. It will be mandatory to carry the AIIMS nursing admit card to the examination hall.  

Step 3: Appear for the AIIMS Nursing for the BSc Entrance Exam

AIIMS Delhi conducts the national-level entrance exam. Candidates will be able to appear for the AIIMS BSc Nursing exam seeking admission into the BSc Nursing programme offered by the AIIMS institutes across India. AIIMS will conduct BSc (Hons) Nursing and BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing entrance exams separately on different dates on June 1, 2025 and June 21, 2025 respectively. 

Step 4: Check AIIMS BSc Nursing 2025 Result

AIIMS BSc Nursing 2025 result will be declared on the official website of AIIMS via online mode. Candidates will be required to log in to their accounts using their credentials to access their results. It will be important to take a printout of the same during the counselling and other processes. 

Step 5: Appear for AIIMS Nursing 2025 for BSc Counselling

Candidates whose names appear on the merit list will be invited for counselling and the seat allocation process via online mode. Based on the percentile rank and the score, the candidates will be granted admission to their choice of AIIMS institute. The BSc (Post-Basic) Nursing candidates had to appear for the Personal Interview/Assessment scheme through video conferencing mode (online mode) or personally by visiting the allotted venue. 

Step 6: Fee and Document Submission to Confirm Admission

After the successful allotment of the seats and the institute, candidates have to submit the required fees (admission and tuition fees) along with the pre-requisite documents and undertakings. The candidates will be provided with the dates to attend the classes after completing the formalities.

AIIMS Nursing BSc Application Form 2025

AIIMS Nursing registration for BSc Hons and Post Basic concluded on May 17, 2025. The AIIMS nursing application status was updated on May 20, 2025. The status of the AIIMS application was declared on the admission portal on the official website. The last date to apply for the AIIMS basic registration was May 7, 2025. The last date for document submission on the AIIMS nursing portal is May 22, 2025

Candidates whose application form has been accepted will be issued the AIIMS BSc nursing admit card. The AIIMS BSc Nursing 2025 application form-filling process is divided into two stages. The first was the basic registration, and the second was the final registration (fee payment and choice of the city). Notably, only candidates who will be able to generate a Code for Final Registration will be allowed to proceed with the fee payment and choose the city as their exam centre. The process will be based on the Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR) system, newly introduced by AIIMS.

Both stages are equally essential, and candidates should not miss out on either of the two stages. The two stages are:

  • Stage 1: Basic Registration
  • Stage 2: Final Registration

Stage 1: Basic Registration

The Basic Registration stage requires candidates to provide personal information such as their name, date of birth, email address (for communication purposes), mobile number (to send information and codes via SMS), as well as a scanned passport-size photo and a scanned image of their signature and thumb impression. Candidates will receive a registration ID and password after submitting their information. This will complete the Basic Registration procedure. It is recommended that candidates retain their registration ID and password safely for future purposes.

Stage 2: Final Registration

The AIIMS nursing final registration started on April 17, 2025. Candidates are required to generate a code and pay the application cost after successfully submitting and accepting the Basic Registration form. Without the code, candidates will not be allowed to complete the final registration process. During the final registration step, candidates are mandated to supply their academic information and select a city as the exam centre. AIIMS Nursing 2025 (BSc) application fee can be paid online using a Debit/Credit card or Net banking.

The first stage of AIIMS Nursing 2025 registration was the basic registration stage. Candidates need NOT pay the application fee at this stage. The final registration stage mandated that the candidate pay non-refundable and non-transferable amounts. Below is the category-wise application fee:

AIIMS Nursing for BSc (Post-Basic) Eligibility

  • Candidates should have passed class 12 or an equivalent exam from a recognised board/university with Physics, Chemistry, English, and Biology or Math subjects. However, candidates who have qualified for class 11 on or before 1986 can also apply.
  • Candidates possessing a Diploma in GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) from any Indian Nursing Council-recognised institution.
  • Candidates must have registered themselves as nurses or midwives with the State Nursing Council. In the case of male nurses, besides being registered nurses, they should have six months of training in any of the mentioned subjects is mandatory.

Yes, you need to appear for the AIIMS nursing exam separately. AIIMS does not accept NEET UG for nursing courses. AIIMS conducts separate exams for: MBBS, BSc Nursing, Paramedical courses. The AIIMS BSc Nursing exam is offered every year.
