Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University offers admission based on merit and entrance. Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 40% to 60% in Class 12 for UG level admissions. Whereas, for PG level admissions, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% to 55% in graduation. Considering the percentage for merit, candidates with 85% have a convenience of seeking admission by clearing first round of selection. However, for the further process, candidates must qualify remaining selection rounds.

Candidates seeking admission to the BSc programme in any of the specialisation must meet the MMU Solan BSc eligibility criteria mentioned below:

Registered as ANM with the State Nursing Registration Council

Qualified in Class 12 Arts or Science or Health Care Science-Vocational stream only conducted by NIOS with 40% aggregate

BSc Operation Theater Techniques/ Medical Laboratory Technology/ Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology/ Medical Biochemistry/ Optometry/ Dialysis Technology/ Medical Microbiology

Class 12 in Science stream with five subjects including English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with 50% aggregate (45% for candidates who belong to SC/ ST category)
