Candidates can follow the below-mentioned prep tips one can use while preparing for AUCET.

Create a Time Table: The first objective one should have is by creating a time table. Chalk out your schedule as to how much syllabus you can cover. If you have applied for MA History, you know the units and chapters are vast and the time periods need proper timing. Segregate the units accordingly. Create a daily, weekly and monthly time table. Include every chapter you have and leave nothing behind. Be it Ancient History, Medieval History or Modern History, there is a lot to cover. Ensure that you have all the subjects on board and try not to leave anything out. Follow and stick to the schedule and you will not have any problems in covering the syllabus.

Know the AUCET Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme: One should know the basic details about AUCET, such as the exam pattern which include elements such as exam medium, exam mode, exam duration and exam format. Other than that, one should also know the AUCET marking scheme, how many questions will be asked, how many marks are awarded per correct answer, will there be negative marking or not. One should have the basic knowledge about the exam pattern and marking scheme so that there is no problem on the main day.

Know the AUCET Syllabus: The main part of the preparation, is knowing the syllabus for the course applied for. There will be questions based on Reasoning which include units such as Decision Making, Analogy Test, Alphabet Series, Word Formation, and Venn diagram. Questions will be asked on General English, General Knowledge and Current Affairs and questions based on the course applied for. Segregate the syllabus according to the time table created and aim to complete it before the main day of the exam.

Purchase Prep Books and Guides: One should also refer to prep books and guides so that the candidate can relate to the subjects and chapters in a better way. Prep books allow you to understand the subjects in-depth and can also answer your queries as well. Solve Sample Papers & Previous Years’ Question Papers: The best way to know your strengths and weakness is by solving sample papers and the previous years’ question papers. You can know where you lag behind, the subjects which you are not familiar with, the chapters which need more reading and understanding. Also, test yourself by completing the question papers according to the duration set. The more papers you solve, the more you know and the more confident you get.

Revision: Once you are done with a particular chapter or unit, be it any course, revise what you have learnt. By revising, you understand what you have learnt better. Also, jot down points while revising, as it will help you understand the portion of the chapter better. Summarize your points and keep them aside for later use.

Get Proper Rest: While studies is important, your health is equally important. Don’t stress out too much and take your time while studying. Follow the time table which you have set and take out time to relax and energize yourself. You need a fresh mind to study and there is as much that a mind can take.

Don’t Be Lazy: Rest, but not to the extent that you forget to study. One has to put in effort in order to cover the syllabus on time. Keep your phone aside and put your binge-watching on hold as you have a mission and that is to clear the entrance exam. Do not procrastinate as that has never worked out well for anyone. Hard work does pay off and one has to put their mind to their studies. Be committed, dedicated and focused.
