Bad college life, but great placements.
Placements: 45 out of 55 students reviewed an internship till week 2 of the internship season. The highest package is 30 LPA. Last year, the highest package was 2.21 crore per annum, and the average was 50 LPA. NK Securities offered 2.21 crore per annum as the highest package. Quant roles are the top roles offered. Many quant roles are available.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms are available. The Wi-Fi is not very good, the speed is quite slow. Classrooms have AC. The hostel is quite decent. The washrooms are bad. The mess food lacks hygiene a lot. Sport facilities are lacking a bit due to a lot of crowd.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable. Some are very nice, lenient, and helpful. Some of them are strict and made to destroy your CGPA. The course is very nice. The curriculum is very Maths and computing-focused. The semester exams are chill. Scoring CGPA is comparatively easier. The pass percentage is around 80 to 90 percent, I would say, in our batch till now.

BHU - A learning centre enchanted by Ganga ghat and vibrant life.
Placements: M.A. Political Science is not a well-placed career option, as it is more a course that gives you a research outlook. Most students in my batch are preparing for NET JRF, and now the BHU placement cell is also active, which offers placements in jobs like policy manager, product manager, etc. They offer up to a 4 LPA package.
Infrastructure: Library is getting bigger with an air conditioner and 24/7 open. Bus service and a health centre are also here, where free medicine and all tests are available. The hostel is good with good food quality in the mess. Wi-Fi is available on campus, it is very beautiful.
Faculty: Curriculum is the same as what one studies for competitive exams. Good papers are there. Faculty is also helpful. The rest all depend on how much you can extract. Semester exams are not very tough. PYQs help a lot 40 /100 is the minimum passing mark. Teachers are highly qualified and can best guide you for your research.
Other: Campus crowd is good, mostly topper students from all India schools. A lot of events happen in campus every festival is celebrated with much enthusiasm. BHU can provide you with the best college life. I have done my Bachelor's (2022-25), and I am now doing my master's in Political Science itself from here (2025-27).

M.A. in Political Science from BHU, Varanasi. BHU gave me some really wonderful memories.
Placements: 1 to 2 out of 105 students in the batch got placed. Anyway, I don't have a clear idea, but I am almost sure that an M.A. in Political Science from Banaras Hindu University provides you with vast knowledge in various fields of different specializations, which you can utilize later on.
Infrastructure: There is a free Wi-Fi across the campus, Sayaji Gaekward Library, computerized systems across the varsity, and neat and clean classrooms. Hostels are decent, but hostel life is good. There are free medical services via the Student Health Centre, Sir Under Lal, and Trauma Centre. Mess and canteens are equally good and versatile regarding mess menu. If you are really good at sports, you get to represent BHU in AIU or other games and sports at the pan-India level.
Faculty: Faculty members are decent, but some are excellent and helpful. Some specialized courses under the (FSS) Faculty of Social Sciences make students industry-ready (e.g., Master's courses such as MSW, MPMIR, AIHC, Energy Economics). The curriculum is good and strongly matches with UGC NET preparation. Also, if you are preparing for civil services examinations or state provincial services, the curriculum becomes handy.
Other: Versatility is the element behind choosing this. There should be improvement in the regulation of classes. Dissertation is NA in M.A. Political Science.

I study at one of the best colleges in India.
Placements: The M.Sc. Physics course was of two years' duration. Only 25 seats were available in this course. The placement cell of the college was very supportive. The highest package of our course was 1.2 Crore per annum, and the average package was 9 LPA. Mostly EdTech companies came for placements. Companies like PW, Unacademy, and FIITJEE hired most of the students.
Infrastructure: Our institute was very beautiful and green. Wi-Fi was available throughout the campus and in the hostel 24/7. Classrooms had smart board facilities, which helped teachers explain topics effectively. A central library was located in the institute where students could borrow books for reading. Hostel rooms were great, and the mess food was really tasty.
Faculty: All our teachers were very supportive and kind. They always helped us solve academic problems. They were highly qualified, and most of them had Ph.D. degrees. The course mainly focused on deep theoretical knowledge. Semester exams were easy to moderate, and most students passed successfully.

Absolutely dissatisfied because the college has zero exposure.
Placements: There was no placement cell in the college. Internship offers were provided by the main campus placement cell. Those were only a few unpaid internships in NGOs. Personally, I did not feel they added anything valuable to the resume or helped in teaching/upgrading skills in any way.
Infrastructure: The buildings were pretty old but had everything, including labs, a library, and reading rooms. Wi-Fi was available, but it did not work properly. Hostel and mess facilities were pretty good compared to hostels and messes around the area. The seating areas were beautiful and were the only redeeming point of this college.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful, qualified, knowledgeable, and friendly. However, lectures were old-fashioned. There were no smart rooms. The syllabus needed to be upgraded. It provided in-depth knowledge in the field but did not make students industry-ready. Most of the students faced difficulties during their internships.
Other: The college did not have its own scholarship program. Students used to avail scholarships through state or central schemes. Programs and events happened from time to time.

Value for money, campus life, infrastructure, and guidance.
Placements: In Bhu, the placement cell is active mainly for Master's students, not UG students. Students from undergraduate courses like Computer Science, Statistics, Psychology, etc. GATE placement with an average package of 5 LPA-7 LPA is offered. The highest was last year, around 8 LPA. The percentage is nearly 5-10 percent because most students prefer higher studies. Some private banks offer the majority of the placements.
Infrastructure: The hostel building in the first year (RK hostel) is very small, though you can stay here comfortably. Again, the quality of food is average. You can explore delicious food outside the campus too, as well as in different hostels. Wi-Fi facility is available all around the campus. Classrooms are also good and big, with a digital board. In Bhu, there are lots of libraries (departmental library till 5:00 PM) and for all students, a cyber library (24/7).
Faculty: Faculty members are good also. They mainly teach theories rather than applications. The syllabus is also IIT JAM, GATE, CSIR NET-based, which will help in further studies. Semester exams are generally moderate to easy level, and the passing percentage was around 80 percent last year in our section. The teachers are highly qualified from institutes like IISc, Oxford University, Cambridge University, etc.
