LPU BSc Admission 2021: Dates, Eligibility, Application Process, Fees

Under the stream of Science, LPU offers BSc and BSc (Hons) programmes under multiple specialisations. Admission to a few of the BSc specialisations is entrance-based. However, admission to most of the specialisations is merit-based. Students studying in Class 12 can also apply for the LPU BSc admissions. In addition to this, the University also offers lateral entry admission to BSc programme.

LPU BSc Admission 2021

The University offers BSc, BSc (Design) and BSc (Hons) programmes in eight, five and nine specialisations, respectively. These courses consist of six semesters spread over three academic years. Admission to all these programmes is subject to meeting the minimum eligibility criteria set by the University.

• For BSc in Health and Physical Education, however, admission is subject to a valid score in LPUPET exam conducted by the University

Note: The University also offers lateral entry admission to BSc (Design) Interior & Furniture, Product & Industrial and Fashion. Candidates, have to secure at least 50% aggregate in Diploma in the relevant stream, to apply for the same. LPU admission to these programmes is based on LPUNEST.

LPU BSc (LE) Admission 2021

Out of all the specialisations mentioned under BSc programme, a few of them also offer the provision of lateral entry admission directly into the second year. Admission to all these specialisations is based on LPUNEST scores. The eligibility criteria for all these courses is as follows:

LPU BSc (Hons) Admission 2021

LPU offers BSc (Hons) programme in nine different specialisations. The duration of all the specialisations is three years, except for BSc in Agriculture (Hons) which has a total duration of four years. The minimum eligibility required across all specialisations under BSc (Hons) for LPU admissions is mentioned in the table below:

*A candidate must be 16 years old to apply for BSc (Hons) Agriculture. 

LPU BSc Application Process 2021

The application process for LPU is completely online. Candidates are required to follow the below-mentioned steps for the complete LPU application process:

Step 1: Signup

• Register on the official admission portal of LPU i.e. LPUADMIT (admission.lpu.in) with basic details such as name, email-id, mobile no., state, gender and password). The email id used during registration will act as the username for the portal and password needs to be set by the candidate while registration.
• Login to the LPUADMIT with already created username/ password

Step 2: Application for admission

Candidate can continue to take admission and then apply for LPUNEST (for scholarship purpose)

• Fill in the application form
• Select the programme from the available course list
• Make an initial payment of Rs 10,000 (which consists of application fee of Rs 500, rest is a part of the programme fee of the first semester). After making the payment, the University will dispatch the prospectus at the correspondence address (entered in the application form) and a unique provisional registration number will be generated and sent to the registered email-id.
• Upload the required documents. All the submitted documents are verified from the originals within the prescribed timelines during admission.
• Deposit the balance fee within the timelines as prescribed by LPU

Step 3: Apply for LPUNEST

Lovely Professional University conducts an online eligibility/scholarship test, LPUNEST basis which students can avail a number of scholarships.

• Deposit the test fee: The cost for the application form and soft copy of LPUNEST Kit is Rs 800 (for boys) and Rs 500 (for girls) and fill the application form of LPUNEST.

Step 4: Book the exam slot and appear for it

• Candidates are now required to book a slot (with their preference of date and time) to appear for LPUNEST
• Appear and qualify the test

List of documents to be uploaded with the application form

• Recent photograph
• Mark sheet and passing certificates of Class 10, Class 12 and graduation
• Qualifying exam certificate/ mark sheet
• Address proof

Also, students are advised to carry the following documents (both the original and the copy) at the time of reporting at the University campus:

• Certificate and mark sheet of Class 10 and Class 12
• Character/ school leaving/ transfer document
• Entrance test rank/ score card (if applicable)
• Three passport-size photographs of the student
• Proof of residence
• Aadhaar Card of the student and his/her parents
• A self-attested anti-ragging affidavit signed by both the student and his/her parents
• Income Affidavit

LPU BSc Scholarships 2021

Lovely Professional University strongly believes in the fact that monetary constraints should not be an obstacle for a student to have access to quality education. So, the University provides scholarship schemes to students on various parameters. Scholarships can be availed for all the programmes of the University, ranging from Diploma to PhD. Students have been awarded scholarships worth more than Rs 100 crore in the last year. 

The scholarships are awarded to students under six categories:

1. Eligibility Qualification
2. Scholarships based on marks scored in the national level entrance exams, including JEE Main, NATA, GATE, CAT, NMAT, etc.
3. Scholarships based on a candidate's performance in LPUNEST (UG and PG): Under this scholarship scheme, the University has created three brackets for awarding the scholarships. Each bracket has certain criteria to be met by the students. These are tabulated below:
