M.Sc. at Xavier's College, Kolkata (city of joy).
Placements: The college was very reputed and known for the quality of education and placement. You need to fill out all semester details for enrolling placement. Those who were government aspirants can skip this part. Most of the of the students selected for internships and apprenticeships at Bose Institute, Biocon, Sun Pharma, and Sk Agrotech were recruiting companies. We had 25 students in a in a batch, of which 20 got placed with a median salary of 30k rupees.
Infrastructure: In college, we had a separate floor for our department, we had incubation center and a research laboratory. college hosted many national and international events. Classrooms were large capable for large number of students. The college library was large, and staff there were very good with great attitude and friendly behaviour. To avail hostel, you need to pay different amount. The hostel feels different for male and female students. Each room have individual fan, light, plug ins, etc. Food quality was more less and good, hostel was from 15min walking distance from college 3rd floor had best rooms.
Faculty: The faculty members were highly efficient and skilled, and they were experienced too. The curriculum was designed with active corporate experts from within and outside of the organization. They regularly take tests and provide notes every year. The two semester scoring was tough. Sometimes surprise tests were also taken to gauge students preparation.
Other: Our batch was the last batch of M.Sc. microbiology from us, a combined course of B.Sc. and M.Sc. microbiology had replaced us.

Extracurricular activities are ongoing in the campus.
Placements: They can enroll in the placement cell which helps with placements, Some departments get quite good placements from reputed companies. After getting the degree, I plan on sitting for the JAM M.Sc. entrance exams. Also Really good for other departments like B.Com and economics but you usually don't look for placement after graduation in the arts stream. You have to go for Masters. So if you're a commerce or a Science student and you're looking for a college with good placement after graduation, St Xavier's College is one of the best colleges in the country and in Kolkata the best.
Infrastructure: To avail of the hostel facility, different amounts have to be paid and much costlier too. The hostel fee for Male is 50000 and for girls is 55000. Rooms are shared by 2 or 3 students. Each room has individual fans, lights, and plug points, etc., and is big enough. Study tables, cupboards, and beds are provided. Food quality in the mess is more or less good. Registration for the hostel must be done at the time of admission itself. The hostel is at 15mins walking distance from the college at 219/1 AJC Bose Road, Kolkata. My hostel experience was the best part of college life. I was on the 3rd floor and had the best room in the hostel. The hostel meals were also good. However, the cost for the hostel is pretty steep and increases every year and by a good amount Since the hostel was located in a posh area, we had access to every amenity.
Faculty: I have chosen this college because of its good education and this college provides very good faculty members to the student. The faculty-student ratio is quite good. The faculty members here are highly efficient and skilled and are well experience too. The faculty is just excellent and the teaching method is also amazing. The curriculum is designed with the active cooperation of experts from within and outside the organisation. They regularly take tests and the teaching here is the best. They provide all the valuable information from different books. The competitive exams are also held which are taken by different organizations which provide merit too. Every year 2 semesters are held which are quite touch enough to hardly score the pass marks. The teachers teach very practically and with uniqueness which I like the most and is very interesting too. Every month they take exams and quick tests are also held. The teachers work very hard and with efficiency which makes this college the one.

It is the best college.

Infrastructure: It is an amazing course. It's one of the best curricula that you can get in this college. The faculty members are well trained, and you get an amazing atmosphere in and all the college. The exam is on a semester basis. The college has separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostels are within walking distance of the campus. The selection of the students who are eligible for accommodation in the hostels is made entirely based on merit and need. Food will be divided into two different options, like veg and non-veg. Although Quality is good.
Faculty: St Xavier's College has an extremely diligent and highly accomplished faculty who are thoroughly devoted to the welfare of the students. Proof. Christian Mirza, specializing in Victorian women's poetry and Modern poetry, has also pursued research in literature and music. Faculty is very helpful. College has a semester system of examinations in which two end-semester examinations are held every year, along with two mid-semester examinations and continuous internal assessment. Marks are also allotted in each paper for regular attendance. So it is a good way to study.

Review of St. Xavier's College Kolkata.
Placements: There were around 60 students in our batch. They arrange an entrance examination for admission to master's courses after having a decent percentage of marks in previous examinations. This college doesn't have any direct placement offers after completion of courses. However, it definitely makes students able to qualify and get chances further.
Infrastructure: There was a separate department for us, including a laboratory and library. Students are allowed to get access and utilise their time in reading. They need to have different cards for that. The quality of food served was also decent and tasty enough to have. The food was also not high cost. Staff members were supportive with good friendly behaviour. Even we had very good non-technical staff members in the lab. There was a different place for gaming also. Wi-Fi was not available for students.
Faculty: Teachers here are very knowledgeable and experienced. They helped a lot to every student and encourage students to show interest in extra-curricular activities also besides regular study. Students have to earn 35% of marks to pass in every subject. The attendance process was also very strict.
Other: St. Xavier's College is reputed throughout India. So it's highly recommended for admission.
