AKTU acccepts IPU CET apart from other exams, for admission to BTech courses. The last-round closing ranks for admission were out. To get admission to BTech via IPU CET, the General AI category candidate must have a rank under 151726 for BTech in Computer Science & Engineering. For BTech in Information Technology, the rank must be below 154086 among the General AI category. Evidently, it is possible to get admission to for BTech at 150000 rank in IPU CET. 

AKTU cutoff for the several BTech specialisations is based on UPTAC Counselling conducted by the university for admissions to various affiliated colleges. UPTAC Counselling has been concluded after the Round 4 Seat Allotment results. Of all the specialisations, BTech in Computer Science Engineering has emerged as the most competitive course at the affiliated colleges. AKTU is a state-level, public collegiate university. Formerly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), it is a University of National Importance, specially for the UG and PG courses offered in the field of Engineering and Science. AKTU is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Coming to the AKTU placements, the university has not released the placement report for the year 2023. However, as per media reports, 1,531 students were selected in TCS. A total of 318 students were placed with a package of INR 7.60 LPA in TCS Digital and rest 1,213 students were placed with a package of INR 3.60 LPA in TCS Ninja during AKTU placement 2023.

AKTU JEE Main Cutoff was released for various BTech and other courses. The cutoff was released in the form of opening and closing cutoff ranks for different categories under the All India and Home State quota. Overall, the most in-demand specialisation was BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. The last-round closing rank for BTech in CSE among the General AI category was 30752.6. 

AKTU has recorded good placements for its Institute of Engineering and Technology. As per the report, the highest package offered in 2024 was 53 LPA. The off-campus highest package was 112 LPA. IET recorded average package of 8.2 LPA in 2024.

MBA is one of the top courses of AKTU. AKTU offers MBA at campus through the Institute of Engineering & Technology, UP Institute of Design and Faculty of Management Studies. Students pursuing MBA from AKTU have a chance of getting placed in top companies. The university conducts placement drive every year. As per media reports,  1,531 students were selected in TCS. Eligibility: Candidates should have passed Class 12 from UP board/ CBSE or any other equivalent board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and a minimum of 45% aggregate in Class 12 (40% for SC/ ST candidates) to apply for BTech course.

The application fees for JEE Main is

• INR 1,000 for Male unreserved, OBC, EWS category candidates
• INR 800 for Female unreserved/OBC/EWS category candidates
• INR 500 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender category candidates

After the JEE Main session 2 result announced, candidates need to first head on to official JEE Main website to know the performance in terms of rank and marks on the portal. You further need to download the scorecard to assess your performance. The needed details to log in are application number and birth date. Apart checking scorecard and rank, they need to check out their qualifying status. Based on your results, you then have to make up your mind to prepare for JEE Advanced or not to get into the IITs. Moreover, the candidates who qualify the JEE Main exam will be allowed to sit for the counselling rounds of NITs, IIITs, and other participating institutes. While applying for the counselling, candidates must have to ensure that all the necessary documents are ready to be submitted. And, at last they have to regularly check and track the important dates regarding the counselling rounds or JEE Advanced exam timeline to avoid any rush at the end of a counselling round.

As per the IET placement report 2024, the average package recorded in 2024 was 8.2 LPA. At overall University level (basis annual report), the average package was 4 LPA in 2024. 

AKTU admission for MCA programme is based on CUET-PG or NIMCET scores. Candidates need to provide a valid score in any of the accepted entrance exam while filling out the application form. Students are selected based on AKTU Counselling. 

AKTU releases its cutoff through its affiliated colleges. The last round closing scores for different colleges varied between 435 and 17104 if you belong to the General AI category. Therefore, it is possible to get admission at any affiliated college of the university at 20000 rank. The top colleges could be Fort Institute of Technology, R. D. Engineering College Technical Campus and Shri Ramswaroop Memorial College of Engineering and Management, with the last round closing score of 17104, 16842 and 16384, respectively. 

AKTU placements 2023 reports are being released gradually, but the complete statistics are yet to be made public on the official website.

Since the start of the placement season, a total of 7,000 students are registered in the campus placement drive for the year 2023 at the various affiliated colleges under it. The university has maintained a 90% placement record, offering salary packages ranging from Rs 1 Lacs per annum to as high as Rs 20 Lacs per annum. 

For the year 2022, the AKTU the highest placement was Rs 1.13 crore per annum, offered by Amazon.

Institute of Engineering and Technology AKTU accepts UPTAC, CUET-PG for admission to its MBA course. To be eligible for the course, the candidate must have completed graduation with a minimum of 50% marks in any relevant field from any recognized university/institute. 

Candidates who have passed Diploma in Pharmacy course recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India u/s 12 of The Pharmacy Act, securing a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate can apply for the course can apply for AKTU BPharm course. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission.

Candidates  should appear for the CUET PG exam, conducted by NTA. The university does not conduct any separate entrance examination for the same.

 For the final selection, AKTU will conduct the counselling session for seat allocation.

 Eligibility criteria for the admission in the AKTU MBA programme candidates must complete their gradiation with 50% marks.

A total of 50 companies visited the campus AKTU placement 2024 for IET (Institute of Engineering & Technology). Companies such as Sprinklr, Microsoft and Google offered highest package of 53 LPA, 52 LPA and 49.5 LPA.
