The life of the students at college campus is influenced by various factors, and comfort in stays and meals are some of the most crucial ones among them. The SRM University provides accommodation to the students in hostels, keeping in mind their budget and academic requirements. There is safe accommodation for the students, besides the facilities provided such as the gymnasium, playgrounds and indoor games. Such accommodation allows the students to interact and network outside class rooms also.

SRM Hostels for Women

There are 7 blocks provided for the students belonging to the Women quota, with capacities ranging from 250 to 700. The approximate capacity of women's hostel is around 4000. Each room is fully furnished with study desks, chairs, and locker facilities. There are many facilities provided by the hostel for making sure that the girls have a secured and comfortable environment, such as facilities of purified drinking water, 24×7 CCTV camera monitoring, security guards, 24×7 Wi-Fi facility, playing indoor and outdoor games, gymnasium, power backup, and biometric attendance. SRM Hostels for Men

The 14 blocks which have been allocated to Men have a capacity ranging from 200 to 1000 students per block. This makes a total of 7500 students that can be accommodated in the Men's Hostel. The 10 blocks allocated to Engineering Boy students have a capacity ranging from 300 to 1250. This makes a total of 10000 students for the engineering boys' hostel.

A large number of international students flock to SRM in search of a superior academic environment that meets their academic dreams, intellectual enthusiasm and the urge to explore cultural diversity in its fullest form. There are 2 blocks reserved for the International Students that have the capacity to accommodate about 400 students. The hostel block is fully air-conditioned. Details are provided in the pdf below.

How to Apply for SRM Hostel

The application process for the hostel accommodation for the first year and for the subsequent years shall be online via https://sp.srmist.edu.in. Online schedules of booking hostel accommodations for first year students will be intimated to them directly, whereas for senior students the schedule will be intimated to the students via their portal. First year students who have already completed all the procedures of admissions and who have the Net ID and Password alone will be eligible for hostel admission after opening of hostel booking portal. Each student must submit an undertaking at the time of occupying the hostel accommodation that he/she will strictly follow the rules and regulations of the hostel and discipline policy in force.
