CUET-UG is a national-level entrance exam conducted by NTA whose score card/ rank helps in taking admission in all major UG courses besides BTech. Candidates willing to take admission in BTech must take the JEE-Main exam, which is also a national-level entrance exam but mainly for admission to BE/ BTech in various government and private universities and colleges.

Also, Assam University accepts admission in its BTech course based on the scorecard/ rank of JEE-Main. For lateral entry to BTech, the candidate needs to take Departmental entrance exam which is conducted by Assam University.

Assam University accepts the scores of CUET-UG scores for admission to the BPharm course. Moreover, before appearing in the entrance exam candidates must complete their Class 12 from the Science stream including both PCB/ PCM. Additionally, they must have at least an aggregate of 50%. Candidates willing to take admission to Assam University must appear in some entrance exams like CUET, JEE-Mains, CAT, WSAT, among others, and successful performance in these exams is essential for the candidate to secure admission.

Opening and Closing ranks for Assam University cutoff depends on the category and quota of candidates. For JEE Main Round 6 cutoff 2023, the opening rank was 37990 and closing rank was 48929 for the general category candidates under All India quota. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 34513 and 47665. Admission to BTech Computer Science Engineering in Assam University is based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam followed by JoSAA Counselling.

No, candidates are not allowed to get direct admission to the BPharm course at Assam University. To be eligible for admission, candidates must ensure that they score a decent score in the CUET-UG.
