IIITM Gwalior offers five M.Tech specialisations. These are Computer Networking, Information Security, VLSI & Embedded Systems, Information Technology and Digital Communication. There are 60 seats reserved for the M.Tech programme at IIITM Gwalior. The total fee of the M.Tech programme at  IIITM Gwalior ranges between INR 2.44 Lacs - INR 6.5 lakh.

Yes, IIITM Gwalior offers a five-year integrated course in BTech+MTech. This course is offered in only one specialisation, i.e., Information Technology. To get admission into these integrated courses, candidates are required to qualify for JEE (Mains) followed by JoSSA/CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) counselling. Additionally, the placement statistics for this integrated course were better in the year 2024 compared to the M.Tech course.

IIITM admits students to its BTech and dual degree programmes based on their JEE Mains marks; however, students seeking MTech admission must meet the IIITM Gwalior GATE cut-off. To be eligible for the next stage of admissions, students must fulfil the IIITM Gwalior cut-off for their particular category. The total number of seats available for admissions at IIITM Gwalior, the total number of applications submitted for the test, the category-wise distribution of students, and other criteria all influence the cut-off for a given year. The GATE CCMT 2025 cutoff for various M.Tech courses varies across different specialisations offered. This year, the cutoff ranged from 370 to 534 for the General AI Category. For the SC AI quota, it fell between 256 and 380 in the last round cutoff score. M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was the toughest for SC AI candidates, and Integrated M.Tech. + Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering was the same for students belonging to the General AI category.
