M.Sc. in Data Science - Batch of 2026

Above average and decent college, value for money.
Placements: The placements are decent, but most of the roles are catered to Computer Science students, so there is a dent in placements for Data Science in particular. Top roles often offered being AI/ML engineers, software testers, etc., and if you are good with coding, then it will work for you.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good, but a point to note is that the Wi-Fi does not always work and the network is often very slow in the campus buildings, otherwise, the campus, classrooms. Labs are good, and there are canteens around the campus.
Faculty: The curriculum is constantly being updated, so it is definitely better for the juniors than for us, the faculty are very knowledgeable and can help with almost anything when it comes to studies or placement preparation, and it is easy to pass the semester exams as long as there is minimal effort to study.

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2027

It is a good college with good workflow and connectivity across the city.
Placements: I am studying BCA at Presidency College, which is a good college in Bangalore. 30 percent of students got placed last year in our course. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. Companies like Accenture, Flipkart, IBM, etc., hire students. The placement record of the college has significantly improved over years. There is a very good placement record among all the other colleges.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not that great. It is a small college. The college does have Wi-Fi and hostel facilities. The college is doing well in sports and games in recent years and offers a variety of different games for every individual who has different interests in many things.
Faculty: Teachers on campus are very knowledgeable about their respective subjects and are very well qualified. Courses offered make students industry-ready. Semester exams are pretty easy as well. The pass percentage here is 70 percent. Students, faculty, and all the staff members are disciplined, and they have very good communication skills. The college is pretty good. We have been offered very good faculty members for our respective courses.
Other: I chose the BCA course because of my interest in computers. I wish they would offer more advanced coding languages and improve the campus a bit more. All the other stuff is good here.

The college has a good education system.
Placements: Placements are good. Many companies will come for a placement drive. Many have been selected in the placement drive and secured their first job in fields such as HRM, marketing, sales, and digital marketing. However, it ultimately depends on your skills, confidence, and the way you communicate.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are spacious. There’s proper ventilation, and hygiene is maintained in the washrooms too. We have a library, and it's very useful. Wi-Fi is only for the staff, not for students. There are science labs, an electronics lab, a mathematics lab, and a computer lab. There's also a canteen; overall, the infrastructure is good.
Faculty: Literally, it's not like other colleges. Teachers will completely finish the syllabus, do revisions, conduct 2 preparatory exams, and 2 internals. It's affiliated with Bangalore University, so the question paper will be from there. Teachers are very supportive and knowledgeable.
Other: I chose BBA, and I love the subjects offered. There's a sports meet and departmental fests like Management Saptah, Book Cafe, quizzes, and whatnot. A good college for studious students.

Facilities are not good in our college.
Placements: No companies came for placement. Only a few came, and they were low-level companies. Guess what, college bought an agency for providing us placement for 2 LPA. Better to join somewhere else, at least those which provide placements.
Infrastructure: Don’t know about hostel, but friends are staying, and it is like a pure jail, no freedom. Also, the infrastructure as of now is very average. New buildings are not good. Currently, new buildings are constructed, but as of now, it’s very average.
Faculty: Faculty is just average. Teachers are somewhat helpful and somewhat qualified. Teaching quality is just average, and to be honest, students are not industry-ready by the time they pass out of the college. Needs improvement.
Other: No campus life and campus is too small.

Review of the Cyber Security department at UVCE.
Placements: About 95 percent of students got placed from our department last year. Top companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, and Tech Mahindra come for recruitment. The highest package offered is 10 LPA, and the average package offered is 4.5 LPA. The university provides 100 percent internships in different companies.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure in our course are well-equipped. Wi-Fi is available in the class and labs. Wi-Fi is also available in the hostel, but with limited data. Labs and classrooms are well-equipped with AC. The hostel and mess food are adjustable. A paid canteen is also available. Medical facilities are available all the time.
Faculty: Most faculty members are PhD holders. They are very friendly with students and help us during internships and projects. Exams are fair and slightly difficult. Exams are of 100 marks, 70 marks for theory, and 30 marks for practicals. The pass marks are 21 out of 70.

Excellent placement support.
Placements: Placement at IIBS plays a major role in shaping my career. The team is highly supportive and works continuously to bring quality companies to the campus. They provide regular training in aptitude, technical skills mock, and resume building, which helped me gain more confidence. I'm proud to say that I got placed for a good package, which reflects the department.
Infrastructure: It has well-maintained classrooms with smartboards and a fully equipped library, wi-fi is a bit slow, and modern computer labs that support effective learning. It provides professions environment with seminar halls, project labs, well organized academic facilities.
Faculty: Faculty at IIBS are very experienced, industry-oriented, making classroom sessions interactive and practical, they focus on real-world case studies, presentation and group discussions, which help students understand corporate expectations. The curriculum is well structured, too.
Other: I belong to the PGDM 24-26 batch at IIBS Bangalore. I chose this course to build strong managerial and corporate skills, especially in finance.
