GIFT autonomous not for placement.
Placements: Placement is below average in our college, so it’s better to try offline campus placement. If you get a job through college placement, there is a separate charge applied to your course fee. Companies like Cognizant and TCS are also coming for placement, but few students are getting the job. Internships are also provided by companies like Qspider and other home-based IT companies.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are available for the course. There is a study tour in all the semesters, like industrial visits and historical place visits, and all the classrooms are good for studying. Wi-Fi is available in all the campus areas. Labs are also good for doing practicals. The library is a cool and safe place to study. All the magazines and study materials are also available. The canteen food is the worst thing in the college not edible at all. Medical, gaming, and sports facilities are lesser.
Faculty: All our teachers are good at teaching, also very helpful and knowledgeable in their subjects, so the teaching quality is good. Semester exams are very strict, and you're not able to cheat in the exam because the checking is strict. You can't even take an electronic watch inside the exams. The pass percentage is 30% in all the subjects.
Other: I chose this course basically for my future job prospects because this generation is going through AI nowadays. Events are very few in our college. There is only a musical night happening in the whole year, and some Hollywood programs also happen. The crowd is very active nowadays because all the houses are connected to social media. Holi and Diwali are the festivals that are celebrated in the campus.

B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2028

Good faculty and decent placements.
Placements: Around 70-80 percent of students got placed in Electrical. The highest package is about 6 LPA-7 LPA, the average is around 3 LPA-3.5 LPA, and the lowest is 2 LPA-2.5 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Wipro, L&T, Tata Power, and Vedanta. Nearly 40-50 percent of students got internships in companies like Tata Power, OPTCL, and JSPL, with major roles offered as GET, Electrical Engineer, and Maintenance Engineer.
Infrastructure: The department has good classrooms, full-time Wi-Fi, well-equipped electrical labs, and an updated library. Hostels are average with basic rooms, clean washrooms, and decent mess food. The canteen is okay, medical help is available on campus, and sports facilities like a ground, indoor games, and a gym are provided.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, well-qualified, and explained concepts clearly, so overall teaching quality was good. The curriculum is relevant and includes labs that help students become industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty, and most students pass, with the pass percentage usually above 80 percent.
Other: Our batch had a friendly environment and good faculty support in Electrical Engineering. I chose this course because of my interest in circuits, machines, and their career options. The best part of the course was the strong lab exposure and helpful teachers. I wish the placement opportunities in core companies were even better. The campus has fests, technical events, a decent crowd, good bus connectivity, and a clean, green surrounding with scholarship options and extracurricular activities that keep students engaged.

B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2018
Offered by Nalanda Institute of Technology
3.2

The other NIT (Nalanda Institute of Technology) is not what you think.
Placements: Since it is a private college, the placement record of this institute is not so transparent. As per my knowledge, the average package here is something around 4 LPA to 5 LPA. The highest can go up to somewhat 9 LPA. Students have joined in core as well as non-core jobs. TCS, Infosys are some of the few companies that come here for the placement. The internship section is also not so active here.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi system is available in some of the academic blocks. The labs are Next to good. It is cleaned. The classrooms are okay, but the fans are super-fast. The library is not so well designed, but essential books and test papers are available. Hostel facilities are available for both the boys and girls. Both have separate campus hostels. The mess food is limited, but it is somewhat hygienic.
Faculty: The teachers here are not so bad. Most of the faculty members are M.Teach. Qualified and a very few are Ph. This. Teaching quality depends on the branch you study. My branch teachers are very experienced and down-to-earth. The semester exams are quite easy. Most of the questions come from the teacher's notes. The pass percentage here is above 80 percent. The course somewhat prepares the students to be industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course because the cut-off for that year was very high, and I got into only this college. But I got my interested branch, which is mechanical.

B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2025
Offered by Raajdhani Engineering College (REC, Bhubaneswar)

It is safe to do admission in the REC, Bhubaneswar.
Placements: The percentage of students who get placed here is above 50 percent, i.e., approximately 66-70 percent. Not many students study here to get a good placement package. The general package here is around 2.5 LPA to 3 LPA for the placed students. TCS, Infosys, and Amazon are the regular companies that come to hire employees. There is no proper exposure for the internship programme here.
Infrastructure: The campus is around 90 acres. It can be more, mine is a rough estimation. The campus facilities here are better than those of some colleges in Bhubaneswar. The classrooms are well spaced and not too hot inside. Wi-Fi is available for all the students and teachers. The hostel facilities are provided to both boys and girls separately. The mess food is quite acceptable, and only a limited medical facility is available on campus.
Faculty: All the teaching members are skilled and supportive of all the students. They show no discrimination against any of the students. Their teaching methods are quite impressive and entertaining. The course mostly makes you ready for industrial work. The semester exams are not so difficult. All you have to do is stick to the teacher's notes.
Other: The improvement that can be made in my course is to revise the old syllabus and bring in the new and the latest syllabus. The present syllabus is a bit old, but not a big concern, for the future, it is quite important.

Review of Bhadrak Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: At this campus, the placement record is not provided on the website or on the notice board. The average package that students secure here is mostly estimated between 1.2 LPA and 2.4 LPA. Companies like Tata Steel, Jindal, and Tech Mahindra regularly visit, but provide a decent salary to those who get recruited by them. The internship exposure here is very limited. Students are advised to approach companies on their own for the internship program.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available on this campus are average. It comes under BPUT, so they try to provide maximum funds that can be availed. Labs are good. Classroom benches are uncomfortable to sit on for more than 1 hour. The hostel facility is quite good. As compared to other campus hostels in the town, it is the best one. The variety of food is limited, but it is hygienic and safe to eat there. The campus also provides medical facilities and hosts decent events for sports and games.
Faculty: Faculty members present here, especially those of my course, are highly experienced and supportive of all students. All faculty members are highly knowledgeable. The only thing they lag in is English speaking, which is not a big concern. The course curriculum is a little dull, and very soon the campus is going to revise academic-related things. The semester exams are very easy. The pass percentage is above 90%.
Other: Knowing the fact that this course does not have a very good placement record. I chose this because it is easy for me and fees are very little on this campus. The best thing about my course is that you can learn many things about machines and so on.

Explanation about CIPET under BPUT.
Placements: The placement system is good recently. Some students say that the campus holds the record of 100 percent placement in recent years. The lowest package here is around 3 to 4 LPA . The average is 6 LPA, and the highest is somewhat 10 LPA. It is all the record provided on the college website. It may be false, but it holds the word of mouth. Around 80 percent of students get the chance to apply for the internship programme.
Infrastructure: The academic building and the laboratory building are quite big. All the classrooms are well-spaced. Wi-Fi is available for all, but it is quite slow. The library has well-stocked magazines and essential books required by the students for study purposes. The hostel facilities are acceptable. The mess food is decent, but it is limited here. The bathrooms are not so clean, and the medical facilities are limited.
Faculty: The faculty members are educated, experienced and quite supportive to all the students. They don't prioritize any gender. All faculty treat all the students equally. The academic course provided here is reasonably good and up to date. It helps the student in being industry-ready. The semester exams are easy, and the pass percentage is above 90 percent.
Other: I chose this course because this college comes under BPUT, and it is very much affordable for all the students. Roughly 2–3 events occur inside the campus in a 5–6-month gap.
