Student perspective about Silicon University, Bhubaneswar.
Placements: According to the 2026 placement report, 75% of B.Tech students are placed. The highest package is 30.3 LPA, the lowest is 3.6 LPA, and the average package for B.Tech students is 5 LPA. Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, IBM, and Marquee Semiconductor are the top recruiting companies. University offers 263 internships in 2026, and many students complete internships through the Practice School Programme. Top roles include Software Developer, System Engineer, Data Analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Silicon is quite good. Our classrooms are neat and clean and equipped with projectors. The campus has Wi-Fi, and the central library is one of the best places for study. It has a good collection of books, journals, and digital resources. Labs are well maintained and have the necessary equipment for practical work. The hostel facilities are comfortable, with clean rooms and a safe environment. The mess food is hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and have good knowledge about engineering studies. They explain concepts clearly. The course curriculum is good and covers both theory and practical learning. Semester exams are moderate. Students who prepare well can easily clear the papers, and the overall pass percentage is high.
Other: I chose this course because it matches my interests and offers good opportunities. Practical learning is the best thing about our course. I think more industry visits and live projects would make the course better. The campus organizes a tech fest named Nirman and a cultural fest named Zygon. The campus is well connected.

Review of Government College of Engineering, Kalahandi.
Placements: In CSE, I don't know accurately how many students are placed, but it is definitely 60 to 70%, mostly through off-campus placements. Talking about packages, I will categorize them into 2 parts. On-campus, the packages last year were as follows. The average was around 2–3 LPA, the highest was 6 LPA, and the lowest was 1.3 LPA. Off-campus, the packages as of last year were as follows. The average was around 3 LPA, the highest was 9 LPA, and the lowest was 1.5 LPA. However, I can't guarantee that the above information is correct because it is what I heard.
Infrastructure: The college Wi-Fi, library, and classrooms are excellent. There are various labs and rooms to study. The infrastructure currently is not that good but will improve in the near future. Talking about the hostel, it has recently improved a lot, but the Wi-Fi is not good, and I guess that issue will persist for a longer time. Food is okay and manageable but not great.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum subjects are slowly being updated as per industry demands. But the syllabus is still stuck with theories, and here the college has no fault.
