Calcutta University WBJEE Cutoff 2026: Check Round Wise Cutoff Ranks

Kolkata University accepts the scores of various entrance examinations for admissions. The university accepts the scores of WBJEE for BTech, CULET UG for BA LLB (Hons), CAT/ MAT/XMAT/JEMAT for MBA, CULET PG for LLM and WBJECA for MCA.

Although, your 12th marks will not directly affect your WBJEE result but to the some extent it reflects your results. This is because the basic eligibility criteria which is 

A minimum score is required to appear for WBJEE exam. Students who have cleared 10+2 with 45% in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and other major subjects.

General category candidates should have scored an aggregate of 45% in the three compulsory subjects in the 10+2th (or equivalent) examination. As per WBJEE qualifying marks, reserved category candidates should have secured an aggregate of 40%. Should have also qualified in English with minimum. 

Candidates must verify the following documents at their allotted institutes at the time of counselling. 

• All rank holders – Class 10 admit card/birth certificate for verification of date of birth
• All rank holders – Class 10 Mark sheet 
• All rank holders –Class 12 Mark sheet 
• WB domiciled candidates - Domicile
• SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B rank holders – Respective category certificate.
• PwD rank holders – PwD
• TFW rank holders – Income certificate

Calcutta University follows reservation policies of West Bengal government for BA admissions. This policy requires institutes to reserve 55% of their total intake for reserved categories including SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PWD. However, candidates of these categories only get reservation benefits if they have West Bengal domicile.

Candidates seeking admission to the BSc (Hons) course at Calcutta University must have passed the Class 12 examination in Science stream with minimum aggregate of 45% from a recognised Board.

Calcutta University MBA seat reservation is as per the West Bengal Government and CU Kolkata rules. As per the Government order, 7% seats in the are reserved for 66 community of the OBC NCL category candidates. The university also reserves 22% seats for SC, 6% seats for ST, 7% seats for OBC, 10% seats for EWS and 5% horizontal seats for PwD category candidates. 

Students who have completed their Class 12 exams with aggregate 45% marks in general category, 42% in OBC, and 40% marks in SC/ST category from a recognised board are eligible to apply for BA LLB (hons) at Calcutta University. Students also need to qualify CULET-UG test to get admission.

Students who wish to enroll in Calcutta University's MBA programme must pass the CAT, MAT, XAT, or JEMAT entrance exams with a valid score. Following exam qualification, the GD and PI rounds are used for the final selection.
