Candidates for admission to the 2-year full-time MBA programme must have a bachelor's degree with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD) from a recognised Indian or foreign university.
Admission is dependent on the students' performance in the CUET Entrance Test.
The Central University of Punjab (CUP) accepts the CUCET entrance test scores for admission into its MBA program.

The Central University of Punjab (CUP) requires a minimum score of 239 for general category students to be admitted to MBA programs in 2023. For other MBA programs, students should check the official CUP website. The overall CUET-PG cutoff for 2023 is 87–245 marks.
The cutoff for PG courses like MA Political Science, MA Psychology, MBA Agribusiness, and MA International Relations and Political Science ranges from 270–230 to 280–240. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Commerce with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade. For SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PWD, the minimum is 50%. Candidates must also appear for the CUCET entrance exam for the academic year.

To be eligible for an MBA at the Central University of Punjab, you must have an undergraduate degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate. You must also have a bachelor's degree and a certificate of equivalence.
Here are some other eligibility criteria: -
- Business education: After 16 years of business education, you must have a BBA (Hons.) or B.Com. (Hons.) or equivalent with a minimum 2.00 CGPA.
- Non-business education: After 16 years of non-business education, you must have a BS (Hons.).

There are two ways to get direct admission in Central University of Punjab for the academic session 2023-24:

The Central University of Punjab (CUP) requires applicants to have a bachelor's degree in engineering or technology with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates) in order to admit them to its two-year Full-Time M.Tech programme in several specializations. Furthermore, candidates with a valid GATE score are given preference. The university administers the CUET-PG Entrance Exam to applicants who do not have GATE results.

Since there is a change in the exam pattern of the CUET PG 2024 exam. Now the total marks for which the exam will be conducted have been reduced from 400 to 300 marks as the total number of questions has also been reduced from 100 to 75.
So the CUET PG cutoff will be prepared out of a total of 300 marks depending on the no of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam and their respective categories.
