Review of DDU - Dharmsinh Desai University.

Placements: In our mechanical engineering course, there are 100 students. The highest salary package offered is 15-20 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 5-6 LPA. It also depends upon students' interviews and their academic results. Top recruiting companies of our college are Nirma, Adani, Acer and many top companies. Almost 70-80% of the students got an internship in Nirma, Reliance, Adani, etc. Our college offers courses like mechanical, electronic, chemical, civil, dental, medical, computer engineering and IT.

Infrastructure: In our course, the facilities are quite good. Wi-Fi is available here, and labs are also neat and clean. Classrooms are also in good condition, and the library is also good. The hostel is good, but you have to compromise with food because food is average. Other sports and the canteen are the best.

Faculty: Teachers are very good and educated with a master's degree. Some of them are PhD holders, and they are very helpful. Their teaching quality is also good, and they give attention. They also take 4 exams each semester. The course makes students industry-ready, and they can get good placements.

Other: I have opted for mechanical engineering, and I would pass out in 2024. There is an event in a year named Felicific for freshers, and other sports activities are also conducted here.

Review of DDU - Dharmsinh Desai University.

Placements: This college is known for better placements. Many big companies are offering placements here with the high salary package. For placement services, there is a placement committee, which helps us for better placements.

Infrastructure: Our university has a good infrastructure. Our university was inaugurated around 30 years ago. There is a big garden, good canteen, boys' hostel and a girls' hostel. There is also a big place for sports and other activities.

Faculty: Faculty members are very good in all branches. In the mechanical department, they are very supportive, friendly and highly qualified. The curriculum of subjects is good, but I think there should be more practical. Higher authorities are also supportive.

Other: Our university gives facilities according to the money paid, but I think that they should give more facilities. In our university nothing is free.

I would rate 9.5 out of 10 for this college.

Placements: Placements of our university are very good. Every year nearly more than 70% of the students get very good salary packages of average 8 to 9 LPA. The education system of the online platform is very good. Last year Morris Garages offered the highest salary package in the mechanical branch.

Infrastructure: Labs are highly functionalised, and for computer labs, they are using very good and efficient computers. Classrooms are classy, and sports are also not negotiable in DDU. The library has all the books which we need, and if require, they get many books in no time.

Faculty: Teaching faculty members are highly qualified, and they work very hard nowadays for teaching us at the online platform. Our mechanical course is industry-relevant, so faculty members make students ready for industries. Other curricular activities also occur in our college.

Other: I have chosen the mechanical branch because I like subjects of mechanics which include fluid mechanics, designing, workshops and solid properties. In our college, we learn subjects of other branches, like mechanical engineers collaborate with computer engineers or IT engineers for projects.

It covers the whole syllabus, and it provides good placements.

Placements: Almost 70% of the students get placed every year from college. The highest salary package offered is 7.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA. A top role offered to the mechanical engineering students is a design engineer. More than 90% of the students from our course got an internship.

Infrastructure: Almost all labs are equipped with Wi-Fi facility and full air-conditioner. All labs have enough equipment and also enough computers. There are more than 5 libraries in our college. It provides a very good mess and canteen in our college, and from there we get super hygienic food.

Faculty: Staff members at our college are very helpful. They provide super knowledge. They cover almost 100% syllabus. They give us an assignment for practice purpose. They also give us knowledge as per the industry point of view. During projects, they allow us to use lab equipment, and they also give an idea to us.

Other: I have chosen this course because I like fieldwork, and it is also known as the evergreen branch. In our college, one event named Felicific is organised every year for one week.

I have enjoyed at DDU - Dharmsinh Desai University.

Placements: More than 70% of the students got placed during my tenure. The highest salary package offered was almost 6-7 LPA. The average salary package offered was approximately 3-4 LPA. Some MNCs visited in 2017 for mechanical and computer/IT field. Companies like TCS, L&T, Zeus Learning, Byju's, Infosys, Reliance, Cadila Healthcare and more offered placements. Some students were provided with internships opportunities.

Infrastructure: DDU had not made us disappointed in any matter. Campus building and infrastructure were the best. All the facilities were provided here. We were free to use any labs in our department for learning purpose. DDU's canteen was also good. Taste of the food served in the canteen was very nice.

Faculty: Teachers at our time were much supportive. Good relations and trust were maintained between faculty members and students. The course curriculum comprises of regular and management subjects for all-round development. The course curriculum of DDU was very much relevant to the industry.

Other: Apart from studies, there were some regular programs conducted related to study and also entertainment.

I am satisfied with placements in 2017.

Placements: In 2017, our college provided good placements and platforms. Almost 70% of students in our course got placed. At that time the average salary package offered ranges from 5-5.5 LPA. Top Recruiting Top recruiting companies for our course were Adani SEZ, Hitachi, Atul, and Coromandel Cement, etc.

Infrastructure: Facilities and Infrastructure of our college were wonderful. Every required thing was present in the form of facilities. Seminar and conference halls are also good. Facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library were very much good. Campus management was completely ensuring of quality of facilities offered to students.

Faculty: DDU is deemed university. So the course was prepared by the college itself, which completely ensured to provide the best knowledge and the latest happening in every branch of engineering to the students. Faculty of DDU were helpful and proper qualified. They were always suggesting and guiding students when they were wrong.

Other: Mechanical Engineering course at DDU was providing good practical experience, so I have chosen this course.

I Was Happy With My Decision.

Placements: I perfectly remembered that placement of our batch was remarkable. Well Known Organisations like Reliance Industries, Adani Port, Chemitech, Nirma etc. Took part in placements of our course. Top Salary was around 6 - 8 Lacs. So it was good placement record at that time (2017). .

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is absolutely wonderful. I still miss the campus life of DDU. Wi-Fi, Labs, Classrooms, Library facilities were best. I can also say that Institute tried its best to provide best facilities. Hostel rooms were also okay. Different Sports facilities was available.

Faculty: Our Mechanical faculty members were helpful to us (not much strictness was shown by them). Course Curriculum was also very well and we also got practical exposure in our college. I can say that course curriculum was relevant to technical terms and industry.

Other: Extracurricular activities and events were organised.

Good faculty for all the branches.

Placements: The placements are very good for computer and IT branch, but placements for the mechanical are still not up to the mark. Placements for the chemical department are also good. Still, I would recommend someone to go for the mechanical branch because it has good teaching staff.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not that good as it is a very congested place. Classrooms are also not that good, and the benches are the worst. There is no big playground here and no garden too. The laboratories are very old, and instruments used in the laboratories are also old.

Faculty: Faculty members are very good. The teaching in our college is the best in Gujarat. Our faculty members teach the best. They complete all the course of mechanical engineering in all semesters. The engineers get the required knowledge from their faculty. A maximum amount of the course is completed by the faculty members.

Other: The Felicific is the cultural event of our college.
