Q:   What is the last date to apply for BBA admission to Delhi Technological University?
    A:

Q:   Can I get admission in DTU through JEE Mains with 76.98 percentile?
    A:

Usually, the cutoff for DTU stays around 90, even for the reserved categories. Therefore, getting into B.Tech courses at DTU is difficult with a JEE Main percentile score of 90 or below. The cutoff also goes high and low every year, depending on the following factors:

    • Number of aspirants registered
    • The difficulty level of the exam
    • Total number of seats available
    • Total number of applications received for a particular program
    • Category under which admission is sought

Therefore, it is very difficult to predict the exact cutoff and give an exact answer to this question. Students can, however, use this college predictor created by Shiksha to know the college they can get with their JEE Main score.

In order to do this, candidates must complete a Polytechnic course of two years and then appear for an entrance exam (not JEE Main but this exam will give you entry in DTU's second year.

    On Comparisons
Q:   Is DTU better than an IIT?
    A:

DTU's BTech in Civil Engineering course has been rated 4.2/5 by 95 Shiksha verified students, while the same course at IIT Delhi has been rated 4.6/5 by 41 students at Shiksha. Also, as per the NIRF 2024 Rankings, Delhi Technological University has been ranked 27 under the 'Engineering' category, however, there are many IITs that are ranked before DTU in the same category. But, despite that, DTU competes against the top-notch NITs and second-phase IITs in streams such as Computer Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Mathematics and Computing. Hence, it is safe to say that DTU is as good as a second-phase IIT or an NIT.

Q:   Which is a better option for BBA: IP University or DTU?
    A:

IP University is one of the decent options for BBA provided the student is pursuing it from one of the top colleges under GGSIPU (or IP University). Considering the fact that IPU is older and the reputation it has built for its BBA programme over the years, it can be taken as a better option out of the two. However, BBA from DTU has its own advantages, DTU is a public University and has a brand value of its own. Students must also do a quick comparison of the fee charged by both the universities and the average salary offered to the BBA passouts of IP University and DTU and then take a decision. To conclude, affordability, nearness (or location), commute and future objective behind choosing a college are some of the factors that you must consider before selecting a college.

Q:   Which is a better option for BBA: NSUT or DTU?
    A:

Both these institutes are decent options for BBA in all the aspects, such as its placements and fee structure. But most students choose DTU over NSUT because of the huge campus and big crowd. However, selecting a college depends completely on the choice of the students and their requirements. For more reviews on BBA from DTU, check out the verified students' reviews on Shiksha.

    Q:   Is DTU a Tier 1 College?
    A:

Delhi Technological University (DTU) is definitely a Tier 1 college. DTU was established in 1941, and the oldest IIT was established around 1951. DTU Delhi is accredited by the NAAC with an ‘A+’ grade and a CGPA of 3.47 out of 4.0. It is also approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and AICTE. DTU College is ranked 62 under the Overall category by NIRF 2025,  42 under the University category by NIRF 2025, and 30 under the Engineering category by NIRF 2025. The university is ISO-certified and was earlier affiliated with the University of Delhi. DTU is also quite famous for its placements. The highest international and domestic packages offered during DTU placements 2025 were INR 1.8 Crore per Annum and INR 85 LPA, respectively.

It is a good college with good faculty members.
Placements: The average package offered is around 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course include KPMG, JP Morgan, Yes Bank, Britannia, etc. The college also provides students with internships. Placements are good in regard to it being a new business school. It's still growing.
Infrastructure: Facilities available are really great. We have centralised ACs and centralised heaters in every classroom. We have access to Wi-Fi, and there is a library too. There is no hostel, but various PGs and flats are available near the college. There is Nescafé, and we all crave for their Maggie.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and have graduated from top institutes such as IIMs and IITs. The course curriculum is updated according to the NEP. We have practicals in every subject, and they teach us the practical applications of them. Semester exams aren't that difficult, and the materials provided to us by teachers are enough.
Other: The best thing is that the course curriculum is updated. The faculty is really good. Fests organised here are great. We have techfest and sports fest all year round. The biggest is the Engifest. College is really active with many societies and activities that happen almost every day. It conducts sessions with industry leaders.

The college has a great crowd and good exposure.
Placements: Placements are decent but mostly average. Around 40-50 percent of students get placed. The average package ranges from 3-4 LPA, and the highest package ranges from 8-10 LPA. The lowest package ranges between 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies include consulting firms, startups, banks, etc. A good number of students secure internships in marketing, finance, HR, and business development fields.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is great. Classrooms are well-maintained and equipped with projectors and good Wi-Fi. The library provides good academic resources. Computer labs are functional. Medical room and sports facilities for volleyball, basketball, and table tennis are also available.
Faculty: Teachers are good and qualified. They are helpful and approachable for doubts. The course curriculum is relevant and includes subjects like marketing, finance, HR, entrepreneurship, etc. It makes students industry-ready, and there is also an option for the 4th year BBA Hons. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is 90 percent.
Other: I chose the BBA course because of my interest in management and business-related subjects.

I'm pretty happy with my course, faculty, and crowd.
Placements: Placement records of past years are pretty good. Almost 80% of the batch has been placed. The average package ranges between 6 LPA and 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Deloitte, Google, etc. Students go for roles like finance, human resources, marketing, and sales. Over the years, placements have improved in BBA.
Infrastructure: In Delhi Technological University East Campus, there is a good supply of Wi-Fi. Classes and labs are maintained pretty nicely, but when we talk about hostel facilities, DTU East Campus doesn’t really have hostel facilities. Maybe this is something they can work on.
Faculty: When we talk about faculty, they are pretty good and helpful. All teachers are graduates with very high degrees in their field and have great industrial knowledge across their field. The course curriculum is pretty relevant, and the difficulty level of the course is understandable.
Other: I wanted to be more in the business field, that’s why I chose BBA.

Life at DTU – East campus.
Placements: Around 180 students are there in my course. I don’t have a lot of idea about packages because I have just started with my college, but from what I have heard from my seniors, average packages go around 5–7 LPA. I am doing BBA, so roles offered are mostly like management roles.
Infrastructure: One thing I love about my college is the facilities provided, like labs, library, computers, etc. Infrastructure is also great. BBA is provided in the east campus of DTU, where there are no hostel facilities. Hostels are provided in the main campus of DTU, where everything is good.
Faculty: The faculty members of each course in Delhi Technological University are highly qualified; many are alumni of IIMs and IITs, which is very great. The course curriculum is relevant. All of my subjects in each semester are BBA-related subjects, which is good.

DTU USME is a financial dream.
Placements: About 70 percent receive placements. As far as I have heard, the highest placements are around 10 LPA. Top companies include Google and Microsoft. We receive multiple opportunities for internships albiet not awfully interesting. Top roles offered include but are not limited to social media management and Pr roles .
Infrastructure: We have a functional canteen and it has coffee. A medical room, a basketball court, a volleyball court, badminton court. We do not have a hostel. We have multiple Wi-Fi connections and a well stocked library. Our classrooms have both ACs and heaters. We have clean washrooms.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They are often professionals in their fields. Our curriculum is very vast and real life oriented. Exams are challenging but not unduly so. I truly believe they are as difficult as they ought to be. However, with exams, projects, presentations, and assignments, there is no room to breathe.
Other: I wish we have less focus on consistent attendance because, for one, I will show up better academically without it. We have a lot of extracurricular activities like Engifest.

Placements: Around 70% of the students were placed. The highest package was around 8 LPA and the average was about 6 LPA, while the lowest was 3 LPA. Deloitte, EY, KPMG, and TCS are the top visiting companies. Many were offered consultant roles, HR roles, and some even cracked accountant roles, though rare, but it was possible.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi in our college is average, but the campus is horrible and horrendous. It is just a 2-acre campus. Many schools are way bigger than this. There is no cafeteria, but a small Nescafé outlet is present. So for food, you have to manage. In terms of sports, a basketball court is present where people play volleyball.
Faculty: Teachers and faculty members are super helpful. They are professionals from their fields; some are IIT, IIM, and even UPSC qualified teachers. Course curriculum is industry relevant, and it makes them industry ready. About the difficulty, it is difficult if you want to ace the exam, but easy if you just want to pass.
Other: It is worth your money if you want to educate yourself and want to use the DTU brand name. But if you want a college campus life with lots of activities, sorry, this is not for you.
