Q:   Can I get into DTU without giving JEE?
    A:

No, candidates cannot get admission to DTU without appearing for JEE Main as the DTU BTech counselling is done through JAC Delhi. The basic criteria for admission to BTech is appearing for JEE Mains. To get into DTU, candidates must score decent marks or at least around 220 or above marks in JEE Mains. The only way to get into DTU without appearing for JEE Main is by taking a lateral entry admission to BTech second year. In order to do this, candidates must complete a Polytechnic course of two years and then appear for an entrance exam (not JEE Main but this exam will give you entry in DTU's second year.

Q:   Do I need 75% to get into DTU?
    A:

For admission to most of the undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered at Delhi Technological University, students need to score 50% to 60% minimum total in their last qualifying degree or course to be eligible. A course-wise list of eligibility criteria for DTU admission is mentioned in the table:

Q:   Can I get DTU with 80 percentile in JEE Main via JAC Delhi?
    A:
Usually, the cutoff for DTU stays around 90, even for the reserved categories. Therefore, getting into B.Tech courses at DTU is difficult with a JEE Main percentile score of 90 or below. The cutoff also goes high and low every year, depending on the following factors: Number of aspirants registered, The difficulty level of the exam, Total number of seats available, total number of applications received for a particular program, and the category under which admission is sought. Therefore, it is very difficult to predict the exact cutoff and give an exact answer to this question.
Q:   How much do I need to score in JEE Mains to get admission in DTU?
    A:

The higher (better) the score, the higher are chances of admission. Students from General category must have JEE Mains rank above 10,000 to have high chances. In the last round of JAC Delhi counselling students with a rank ranging between 4810 and 24274 were able to score admission. However, the higher the rank, the less competitive specialisation was offered. This rank range mentioned is for Computer Engineering and Environmental Engineering, respectively.

Absolutely satisfied with the campus, faculty, placements, infrastructure, and labs.
Placements: About 70-80% got placement, the lowest is 7 LPA, the average is about 13.5 LPA, and the highest is 18 LPA. Companies are like Pw, Sparkle, Google, Microsoft, and Amazon. About 50% got internships in companies like BHEL, Amazon, and Microsoft. Roles include analytical and research scientist, pharmaceuticals.
Infrastructure: The facilities of the classes are great. ACs have been provided for classrooms. Classes are spacious enough. Wi-Fi connection is also provided. Labs are well maintained. The quality of food is also good in the mess and canteen. There is a big sports arena with great medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful, well qualified, and knowledgeable. They are sweet towards students. The course is very relevant as it helps students get ready for industries. Semester exams are not very tough. Almost all students passed. The teaching quality of teachers is great, they help in solving the doubts of each student.
Other: I chose this course because I have a special interest in Chemistry. One thing that can be improved is that we focus more on practical knowledge than theory because Chemistry is all about relations and labs. DTU Engifest is the best fest anyone can ever attend. The campus is best and the crowd is also good. Many extracurricular sessions are also held for the good of students.

I am very much happy here.
Placements: Students with minimum percentage of 70% in UG could get admission master's degree. The highest package offered was 50 LPA, and the lowest package offered was 8 LPA. Average package offered was 5 LPA to 6 LPA. Top recruiters included TCS, Infosys, Wipro, etc.
Infrastructure: It had a well-managed and beautiful infrastructure. There was Wi-Fi all over the campus. There was a purified water facility everywhere on the campus. There were plants and nature all around the college. Hostels were very clean and very well managed.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful to the students, they helped us with every question that we asked. They also helped us during college time online and offline. This course was relevant, and it made students ready for the industry. Semester exams were not very tough.
Other: I enjoyed every moment of my college.

DTU for M.Sc. chemistry at loose points.
Placements: Edtech companies provide talented tutors who are good at communication and have a positive attitude towards teaching. In 2025 there are 2 placements done by Sparkle and few more companies came. The highest package is 9 LPA and the lowest is 7 LPA. Recruiting companies are Sparkle, Pw, Akash, Vedprep, and other Edtech companies. 50%-70% of students got internships and all. Crores (Class representative) and PC (Placement coordinator) are the top roles offered.
Infrastructure: Hostels and classrooms are good in condition, girls' hostels are average, newly made hostels are air-conditioned and have good services. In DTU sports facilities and infrastructure are excellent. There are all kinds of facilities available like mess, medical, canteen, sports, and games. Canteen has good food and Dominos in house and the famous dosa also exits there.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable but their way of teaching is just kind of scrolling PPT in the classroom nothing enthusiastic or interactive but this happens only with few teachers. Curriculum is relevant. Easy to crack exams on the basis of class notes and PYQ prep 33% passing criteria UGC guideline.

My honest review about my college.
Placements: A lot of companies visit DTU campus for placements and students are eligible to sit for it in their final or pre-final semester of the course. Companies like Akash and Physics Wallah have visited the campus for placements for various posts like research assistant, project manager, etc. The highest package is around 15 LPA for the post of data scientist. The average package is more than 4 LPA for profiles like research assistant and subject expert. The placement in my class is that 55 students get placed with decent salary packages. If you are really good with your subject, it's enough for placements.
Infrastructure: The seats in hostels are few, and the students who live in Delhi within some decided radius are almost obvious not to get a seat. 2 students share a room. The internet has blazing fast speed in the hostel, around 4 Mbps.
Faculty: There is a semester examination system. The exams are conducted twice in a semester. There is a mid-semester and end-semester exam of 25 and 50 marks, respectively. The level of the exam is not that tough and you can easily pass with some amount of seriousness during your exams. A master of chemistry is a course that opens so many opportunities in different sectors. I personally want to join FSSAI as a junior food analyst for which I need to have a master's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or microbiology. Faculty members of chemistry at DTU are average. Faculty members are well trained and qualified, out of which 90% are Ph.D. and postdoc holders having experience of more than 5 to 7 years. But still, there's a communication gap between students and faculty members. The teaching quality is not good for some teachers.

Placements: In this course, the percentage of placed students is more than 60%. The highest package offered for my course is 15 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. Top recruiting of companies interested in this course. Percentage of students who get internships in my course is 50%.
Infrastructure: All facilities and infrastructure are available in my course. Wi-Fi, classrooms, as well as library are present in this course. The food quality in mess is so good and tasty. Medical is also available. Sports and games are present in this course.
Faculty: Teachers in this course are so helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. All teachers have great teaching quality. This course curriculum is not relevant and students are industrial-ready. Semester exams in this course are so good. Pass percentage is 60% in my course.

It is the best technological college in Delhi.
Placements: I completed my M.Sc. in physics from this college in 2024. In my course almost all of the students got internships in various top companies. Approximately 50% of students secured placements through college campus placements. Some of the top recruiting companies are Infosys, Cipla, Biocon, etc. Some of us got a the highest package of 15 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good. Classrooms are well-maintained and spacious. The library is fully digital and consists of a huge collection of books. The campus is fully wi-fi equipped. CCTV cameras are everywhere for security purposes. The hostel facilities are also available with a good canteen service.
Faculty: All faculty members are very knowledgeable and experienced in their respective fields. They are very helpful to students. They teach us practical lessons and they are very approachable. All the nonteaching members' behavior is also very good. The course curriculum is very relevant for future placement. The semester exam pass percentage is around 90%.
