An admitted candidate can withdraw his/her admission during the counselling period by submitting online request through JAC Delhi portal on or before last
date of withdrawal mentioned in counselling schedule.
a) If the candidate withdraws his/her admission on or before the last date of counselling schedule, his Seat Acceptance Fee (INR 95,000) will be refunded without interest after deducting INR1000 as processing charge.
b) Fee refunds for all withdrawals will be processed within 20 days after last date of withdrawal

Candidates who cancel the enrolment after paying the tuition fee before the semester has started. In that case, DTU will refund the tuition fee. Further, if candidate withdrawl their enrolment after paying the tuition fee, and the semester has started. In that case, DTU will not refund the tuition fee except in cases of exceptional unforeseen circumstances mentioned below:
- failure to meet the admission requirements
- lack of residence permit, e.g., if SIRI rejects your application for a residence permit
- pregnancy
Each case will be treated individually. The candidate who belongs to these case are required to submit written documentation before reimbursement can take place. When applying for a refund, candidates are required to enter full name, CPR (if relevant), reasons, and documentation for cancelling your studies. Candidates must also provide their relevant bank details (account number, SWIFT/IBAN codes) for this purpose.

DTU BDes Admission Dates 2025
For BDes programme admission 2025 at Delhi Technological University (DTU), candidates are required to appear for The Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED). Candidates seeking admission must have a valid score in the UCEED exam for final admission. And to become eligible for admission to BDes at Delhi Technological University, candidates must have passed their Class 12 with Science/ Commerce/ Arts or a three-year Diploma course recognised by AICTE. No, candidates cannot get admission to DTU without appearing for JEE Main as the DTU BTech counselling is done through JAC Delhi. The basic criteria for admission to BTech is appearing for JEE Mains. The only way to get into DTU without appearing for JEE Main is by taking a lateral entry admission to BTech second year. No, DTU does not conduct any entrance exam of its own for admission to any of the UG, PG or doctoral-level courses. Admission for the flagship BTech programme is based on JEE Main scores and the entire process of counselling are conducted by JAC Delhi. Yes, DTU has the below mentioned seat reservation policy at DTU. The college has 85% seats in all the participating institutions are earmarked for Resident Indian Nationals belonging to Delhi region (as specified below). The rest 15% seats are earmarked for Resident Indian Nationals belonging to outside Delhi region.
DTU is indeed a great college for engineering, specially B.Tech. Since it takes students through JEE Mains, the quality of students is also very good.
Being a very old government college, it has gained immense recognition as well. Syllabus is a bit outdated. The subjects in the first year are common for all, irrespective of branches. Classes are held regularly, though there are bunks as well during exams, fests etc.
The professors are well educated, most of them have done PhD. Some of the teachers are good, interesting while some make the subject very boring and dull. Some of them would just copy the things from the book without actually making the students understand. I would advice to be regular in class and always stay in touch with the syllabus. The study during engineering is comparatively easier than that during JEE and so one can easily cope up.
DTU is not just great in terms of academics or placements, but the fests and societies also help a student to develop as an individual. It makes you a much better person rather than just a bookish engineer.
