JAC Delhi 2022 Counselling: Registrations are now over. On September 28, 2022, Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) will release the JAC Delhi counselling 2022 seat allotment result for round 1. JAC Delhi Counselling 2022 will be conducted in 4 rounds and one spot rounds for admission to four technical colleges of the Government of NCT Delhi. The official website of JAC Delhi 2022 is jacdelhi.admissions.nic.in.

Joint Admission Counseling Delhi conducts JAC Delhi counselling for admission to BE/BTech and BArch degree programmes offered by 4 technical universities/institutes of the Government of NCT, Delhi. These institutes/universities include Delhi Technological University (DTU), Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-D) and Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT). JAC Delhi Eligibility Criteria

Delhi Admission Council (DAC) has prescribed the JAC Delhi Eligibility criteria as below:

Eligibility as per region:

  • Delhi Region Candidates (85% of seats): Aspirants passing the qualifying exam from a recognized School / College / Institute located within the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi will be considered for the Delhi Region only.
  • Outside Delhi Region Candidates (15% of seats): Aspirants passing the qualifying examination from a recognized School / College /Institute located outside the National Capital Territory of Delhi will be considered for Outside Delhi Region only.

Note: If the centre of examination is located in the N.C.T. of Delhi, the aspirant shall be considered under the Delhi Region and if the centre of examination is located outside N.C.T. of Delhi, he/she shall be considered under the Outside Delhi Region.

Eligibility as per Qualifying Examination:

  • Senior School Certificate Examination (12-year course) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.
  • Indian School Certificate Examination (12-year course) of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
  • Any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Examination of CBSE.

Note: Aspirants who have appeared at the annual exam in the year 2019 and have been placed in the compartment will not be eligible for admission for the year 2022.

Minimum Marks required for JAC Delhi admission:

BE/BTech Course at DTU, IGDTUW and NSIT:

  •  A candidate securing 60% or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and have passed English as a subject of study at the Senior School Certificate Examination Level (Core or Elective) will be considered eligible for admission to the first semester of BTech/BE course provided he/she has passed in each subject separately.

BTech Course at IIIT D:

  • A candidate who has secured 80% or more marks in the aggregate of best of five subjects including Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and 80% or more in Mathematics in qualifying examination will be considered eligible.

BArch Course at IGDTUW:

  • A candidate will be considered eligible for admission to the First Year of the BArch Course if she has secured 50% or more marks in aggregate, and has passed Mathematics as a subject in the Senior School Certificate Level Examination and also qualifies for the JEE (Main) Paper-2 exam.

Relaxation in Minimum Marks Criteria for Reserved Category / Sub-Category Candidates

Aspirants belonging to various reserved categories namely OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and sub-categories namely Defence, Differently Abled Person, who apply for seats reserved for them, shall be allowed a concession in the minimum marks criteria as mentioned below:

For DTU and IGDTUW only:

  • Other Backward Class (OBC-NCL): 5%
  • Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST): 10%
  • Defence (CW): 5%
  • Differently Abled Person (PD): 10%

For NSIT only:

  • Other Backward Class (OBC-NCL): 10%
  • Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST): Such aspirants must have just passed in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the qualifying examination.
  • Defence (CW): 5%
  • Differently Abled Person (PD): 5%

For IIIT-D only:

  • Other Backward Class (OBC-NCL): 5%
  • Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST): 10%
  • Defence(CW):5%
  • Differently Abled Person (PD): 5%

Age Criteria

  • For DTU and IIIT-D: Aspirant must be a minimum of 17 years and a maximum of 25 years of age on or before the 01.10.2022. Relaxation in minimum age up to one year only with the approval of Competent Authority is permissible (Such candidates should apply for relaxation only at the time of admission).
  • For NSIT and IGDTUW: There is no minimum age requirement

JAC Delhi 2022 Admission Process

  • Registration - JAC Delhi admission application forms are available online. Candidates have to register online on the official website
  • Choice filling - Candidates have to login into the next step and fill in their choices of colleges and courses
  • Seat allotment result - Issuance of seat allotment letter for all institutes will be issued by the authority along with cutoffs
  • Seat confirmation, fee payment - After issuance of seat allotment letter, candidates have to make the fee payment, confirm their seats and can freeze their allotted seat if they do not want any up-gradation of seat/institute as per their filled choices.
  • Reporting to the allotted institute - After verification, candidates have to report to the allotted institute for final admission.

Joint Admission Counseling (JAC) Delhi releases institute-wise JAC Delhi cutoffs in online mode. The authority releases the JAC Delhi cutoff along with seat allotment results. Interested candidates can check the round wise JAC Delhi 2022 opening and closing ranks for Netaji Subhash Institutes of Technology, Delhi Technical University, Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, and Indraprastha Institute of Technology on this page. Spot Round JAC Delhi 2022 cut-off (opening and closing rank) is expected to be released a day after the seat allotment results. The seats are allotted as per the choices of college and courses and the availability of seats in a particular institute.
