GIET University admissions 2026 are open.The closing dates of applications are not out yet and will be updated once out.Other latest updates are as follows:
- MAT 2026 December session registrations are ongoing for admission to the MBA course. For the PBT mode, the last date to register is Dec 14, 2026, for the exam scheduled on Dec 20, 2026. For CBT mode, the last date to register is Dec 21, 2026, for the exam taking place on Dec 27, 2026.
- The CMAT 2027 registrations for admission to the MBA/PGDM/MMS courses might begin in October 2026. The exam will be conducted on Feb 7, 2027.
- The CUET PG results are declared for admission to various PG-level courses. The counselling is conducted separately by each participating institution.
- The OJEE 2026 Counselling process for admission to the BTech, MBA and MCA courses has concluded.
- GATE 2027 Registration window for admission to the ME/MTech and PhD courses is now closed. The exam will be held from Feb 6 to Feb 7, 2027; Feb 13 to Feb 14, 2027; and Feb 20 to Feb 21, 2027.
- The CAT 2026 registrations for admission to the MBA/PGDM course are now closed. The admit cards download will begins from Nov 4, 2026 and the CAT exam will be held on Nov 29, 2026.

Really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: At the present time, placements are very important for students because everyone wants a job with a good salary. Our college is decent in this case, as it provides around 90 percent placement offers. The highest package was approximately 20 LPA, the lowest was 3 LPA, and the average package is around 4 to 5 LPA. The T&P cell puts in 100% effort for students, but placements fully depend on student performance. Top companies regularly visit the campus, such as TCS, Accenture, Infosys, Zscaler, HighRadius, SequSpace, ByteIQ, Tech Mahindra, etc. Internships start in the final year of the course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are well-decorated and designed. Most facilities in our department are well-maintained, such as Wi-Fi and labs for practice and gaining knowledge. Classrooms are decent, but during the summer, the rooms feel too hot. ACs are not present in the classrooms, but they are available in labs and library, which are in good condition. Smart classrooms are present, and there is also a seminar hall for conferences. Hostel facilities are decent, but hostel fees are quite high, so most students prefer to stay in PGs or rent rooms outside the campus. The mess food is not acceptable.
Faculty: Faculty in our department are not very experienced. Some new teachers do not know how to teach properly. However, experienced teachers have good teaching quality. Some teachers' behavior towards students is not good. Overall, the teaching experience is good. The course is suitable for modern learning, so there is no need to worry about it. If students study regularly and attend classes, semester examinations are easy to attempt and are not very difficult. Overall, around 90 percent of students pass easily in the final year.

Best college for events and hackathons, but not for placements.
Placements: GIET University is one of the most famous colleges in Odisha because it provides the best hackathon programmes and practical experience, but not for placements. Its placement record is not much better than that of other colleges. I think around 30 percent of students in our batch got placed, while the remaining students are preparing for upcoming drives. However, I got placed in a good company. The highest package was around 15 LPA, and the top companies are TCS, Zscaler, 3N, Zenus, BNP Paribas, etc. Internships fully depend on students' performance and skills.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is well-designed and organised, with full facilities. Most facilities are available inside the campus, so there is no need to go outside. Some departmental facilities include Wi-Fi, a library, computer systems, and labs for hands-on experience. The hostel is decent and great for freshers, but nowadays, hostel fees are more expensive, and the mess food is not acceptable. Sports and medical facilities are good, but they may charge for the services.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-educated and knowledgeable. In our department, faculty members are experienced in their subjects. The teaching quality is much better than that of other colleges. They explain topics through practical sessions. If students have any doubts, they are always helpful. Our course curriculum is relevant. It provides benefits like real knowledge about current trends. Semester examinations are not difficult if you attend regular classes and prepare proper notes. Pass percentage is 80 to 90 percent.

Average packages but provide good companies for experience and knowledge. Thank you GIET.
Placements: Placements are decent from our department. All students are placed in different companies like Adani Power, Jindal Steel, Havells, and Bajaj. The highest package is around 13 LPA, the lowest is 2.16 LPA, and the average is 6.5 LPA. Top roles are trainee engineer, maintenance engineer, and power system engineer.
Infrastructure: Best and huge campus with big classrooms and well-equipped electrical labs. The library provides free books, unlimited Wi-Fi, and digital media. Food quality is bad, and hostel rooms are old with less maintenance. For sports, big grounds are available, and games are played inside the hostel indoors.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are Ph.D. holders with experience in their subjects. All of them are supportive and helpful. The lab teachers are very good at explaining practical and technical things. The course curriculum is huge, and every topic is related to machines, power, and control systems.

Good Academics for industrial requirements with best placements.
Placements: About 60 percent of students from my course get placed. The highest package is 11 LPA while the lowest is 3.5 LPA and the average is around 5 LPA. TCS, Accenture, Wipro, Infosys, and Deloitte are our top recruiting companies. Nearly 65 percent of students get their summer internships in different companies.
Infrastructure: The department provides enough facilities like decent classrooms, computer labs, and a huge library for all students. All required equipment is available in the lab. Hostel facilities are good and canteen food is average. Both medical and sports facilities are available.
Faculty: Every teacher is helpful during projects and seminars. All of them are qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching styles are clear and understandable to us. The curriculum is specific to industry and the subjects are according to company demands. Semester examinations are easy and questions come from the notes.

Satisfied with the placement and infrastructure.
Placements: I am in the 7th semester. 300 students have been placed. Around 30% of students got placed in TCS. Five of them got a package of 10 LPA. The rest got packages of 4–7 LPA. Capgemini, Infosys, Cognizant, & Accenture are recruiters.
Infrastructure: GIET has the best infrastructure. It is among the best private colleges in Odisha. It provides smart labs, AC classrooms, & free Wi-Fi on campus. Hostels are very big and comfortable. Most of the rooms are new and have AC. A big gym is also available inside the campus.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They are qualified and knowledgeable. They assist with curriculum-related courses. They provide mentoring during projects. For placements, we get extra classes in technical subjects, aptitude, and English verbal skills. They teach us about industry-related topics.

Placements: There was 100 percent placement last year. UltraTech, Hindustan Construction Company, & Jindal were top recruiting companies. Top package this year is 8 LPA from Tata Projects Limited. The average package is 4 LPA. Top roles include Project Manager, Structural Engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good and modern. The campus is quite large and spread across around 150 acres. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus and in the hostels. There are a total of 13 hostels available for boys. The rooms are small and have attached washrooms. The food quality is good.
Faculty: Teachers are very friendly to us. They assist us during our projects and internships. They are well educated. They have a lot of experience. This course is highly relevant. It makes students industry-ready. For placements, the college offers classes in personality development and aptitude.
