No, GJUST admission is entirely merit-based for B.Ed course. In case, a candidate has also passed the master’s degree examination after the bachelor’s degree, the higher percentage of marks obtained either in UG or PG degree will be taken into consideration while determining the merit. However, if two or more candidates have obtained equal marks, the following procedure will be used for the preparation of their merit.
- Candidate senior in age will be given first preference
- If tie still persists, then marks obtained in Class 12 will be considered
- If tie still persists, then marks in Class 10 will be considered to break the tie

A pass in bachelor's degree and/ or in the master’s degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Humanity with at least 50% aggregate is required to apply for GJUST B.Ed course. Candidates who have passed Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in Science and Mathematics with a minimum of 55% aggregate or any other qualification equivalent thereto can also apply for GJUST B.Ed course.
Candidates who meet the eligibility conditions are eligible to apply online for GJUST B.Ed course. Aspirants must have the documents proving their eligibility for verification at later stages of admission.
It is necessary that all the aspirants meet the course-specific eligibility criteria. Hence, it must be checked out before the form filling. Aspirants need to pass Class 12 to apply for BTech course. Check below detailed GJUST BTech eligibility requirements:
- An applicant should have passed Class 12 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject.
- For admission to BE/ BTech (Bio-Technology), a candidate should be a pass in Class 12 examination with Physics and Mathematics or Biology as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science.
- A candidate who is passed in Diploma in Engineering and Technology from a recognised institute/ university.
- Candidates should have obtained 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category candidates).

MA is a two-year course divided into four semesters. GJUST offers MA in four specialisations at the PG level. Candidates who have passed graduation with at least 50% aggregate (pass marks for SC candidates of Haryana) can apply for GJUST MA course. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at later stages of admission.
Additionally, candidates also need to qualify an entrance test conducted by GJUST for admission to MA course. GJUST Entrance Test comprises 100 questions of one mark each. It is a 1.5 hour test which will include multiple-choice questions.
Both GJUST and MDU Rohtake offers two-year B.Ed programme. Candidates after completing graduation can apply for B.Ed in any of the two universities. Below is the comparison of B.Ed course offered by them:
