The total tuition fee for UG Diploma programmes offered at GNDU main and other campuses ranges between INR 3,620 - INR 47,660. GNDU offers admission as per notification issued by Punjab Government. The University offers admission to its UG and PG courses on the basis of both merit and entrance-based. Admission to most of the courses is based on candidates performance in the Hence, the university does not offer direct admission. Gurunanak Dev University admission is done based on merit in the entrance exam or qualifying exam. Candidates willing to secure admission at GNDU must begin by meeting the course-eligibility criteria followed by filling out the application form and paying the application fee before the deadline.

Applicants are then required to appear for the relevant entrance accepted by the University. For candidates appearing for the entrance exam conducted by the HOD, the minimum marks for each category are as under:
