It has a very good campus and a hostel.

Placements: Gauhati University law programs offer LL.B. B.A. LL.B, etc. Placements are very low. Internships are vital, with opportunities in firms & courts. Roles include litigation and corporate law. Almost 100% of students can get internships if they try. No packages are given in the university placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this university is very necessary. Here all the facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, and library are very good. The hostel facilities of this university are very good and very cost-effective, and people from backward classes can join there.

Faculty: Teachers are from every background. They are very prominent, intellectual, and very knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum does not make students industry-ready. Semester exams are held every year 2 times and they are quite easy. Everyone can pass it but the pass percentage is 60%.

Other: I chose this course because it is my dream to become an advocate so I enrolled in this course. Events and fests are held every year in annual functions. The campus surroundings are very good. Scholarships are available for students of minorities.

Placements: 99% of students were placed in my course. The highest package is 10 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is 7.6 LPA. Recruiters include Life Insurance Corporation of India, Punjab National Bank, SBI, agency lawyer, magistrate, probationary officer, management trainee, back office executive, and professor roles.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for my course/department are very good. The Wi-Fi is excellent, there are two labs, several classrooms, and one library. The quality of the facilities in my hostel is very good, and there are two RCC buildings. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is very good, medical facilities are excellent, and sports and games facilities are also good.

Faculty: The teachers were very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was very good, and the course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. The semester exams in this college are relatively easy, with a pass percentage of 45.

Other: I chose this course to secure a job and become a lawyer. I don't wish for any improvements regarding my course, but I appreciate the fests and scholarships offered.

Very natural environment with kind staff.

Placements: Almost every student went through perfect placements. It improved our self-confidence through moot court practices, which were very important for real court practice. Most of us practiced under the Hon'ble Gauhati High Court. We were very grateful for opportunities we had during our time in college.

Infrastructure: Our department was well-equipped with modern infrastructure to support both theoretical learning and practical exposure. Classrooms were spacious, air-conditioned, and equipped with smart boards and projectors for interactive sessions. We had access to high-speed Wi-Fi across the campus and department buildings. The hostel facilities were fairly good, with clean and reasonably spacious rooms shared or single depending on preference and availability. Each hostel had high-speed Wi-Fi, common rooms with TV and indoor games, and laundry services. Water and electricity supply were consistent, and maintenance was done regularly.

Faculty: Faculty members and teaching quality, teachers in our college were quite helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable in their respective fields. Most of them held advanced degrees M.Tech, Ph.D and had both academic and industry exposure, which was reflected in their teaching. They were approachable outside class hours as well, always willing to clarify doubts or guide students on projects and career paths. The teaching quality was a mix, some professors were truly exceptional with a practical approach, while others relied more on traditional methods.

Other: Becoming an advocate was my childhood dream, so I chose to study LL.B. after graduation.
